Journal Guide

The Journal of Antibiotics seeks to promote research on antibiotics and related types of medicinal substances. The journal will accept biochemical, chemical, microbiological and pharmacological studies. However, studies regarding human therapy do not fall under the journal's scope. Contributions regarding antibiotics and bioactive microbial products are particularly encouraged. Topics of particular interest within the journal's scope include, but are not limited to, those listed below: * Discovery of new antibiotics and related microbial products * Production, isolation, characterization, structural elucidation, chemical synthesis and derivatization, biological activities, mechanisms of action, and structure-activity relationships of antibiotics and related microbial products * Biosynthesis, bioconversion, taxonomy and genetic studies on producing microorganisms, as well as improvement of production of antibiotics and related microbial products * Novel physical, chemical, biochemical, microbiological or pharmacological methods for detection, assay, determination, structural elucidation and evaluation of antibiotics and related microbial products * Newly found properties, mechanisms of action and resistance-development of antibiotics and related microbial productsThe Journal of Antibiotics's original articles cover new theories and primary research. The journal also publishes regular short reviews, book reviews, and news and commentary articles.

Founded in 1960 at the Institute of Plant Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Poznan, under the title Genetica Polonica, Polish Journal of Genetics and Breeding. In 1995, it was renamed Journal of Applied Genetics (JAG). Since 2011, the Journal of Applied Genetics has been published by Springer. It publishes peer-reviewed original papers, short communications (including case reports) and review articles focused on the research of applicative aspects of plant, human, animal and microbial genetics and genomics.

JAMC is a broad based journal covering all branches of computational or applied mathematics with special encouragement to researchers in theoretical computer science and mathematical computing. Major areas, such as numerical analysis, discrete optimization, linear and nonlinear programming, theory of computation, control theory, theory of algorithms, computational logic, applied combinatorics, coding theory, cryptograhics, fuzzy theory with applications, differential equations with applications are all included. A large variety of scientific problems also necessarily involve Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, Probability and Statistics and so on. The journal welcomes research papers in all branches of mathematics which have some bearing on the application to scientific problems, including papers in the areas of Actuarial Science, Mathematical Biology, Mathematical Economics and Finance.

The Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics (ZAMP) publishes papers of high scientific quality in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids and Differential Equations/Applied Mathematics. A paper will be considered for publication if at least one of the following conditions is fulfilled:

The paper includes results or discussions which can be considered original and highly interesting.

The paper presents a new method.

The author reviews a problem or a class of problems with such profound insight that further research is encouraged.

The readers of ZAMP will find not only articles in their own special field but also original work in neighbouring domains. This will lead to an exchange of ideas; concepts and methods which have proven to be successful in one field may well be useful to other areas. ZAMP attempts to publish articles reasonably quickly. Longer papers are published in the section 'Original Papers', shorter ones may appear under 'Brief Reports' where publication is particular

Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics presents top-level work in fluid mechanics and applied physics. Each issue contains valuable contributions on: hypersonic flow, boundary layer theory, turbulence and hydrodynamic stability, free boundary flows, plasma physics, shock waves, explosives and detonation processes, combustion theory, multiphase flows, heat and mass transfer, composite materials, thermal properties of new materials, plasticity, creep, and failure.
