The Asian Development Review is a journal of the Asian Development Bank and the Asian Development Bank Institute. It publishes research on economic and development issues relevant to the Asia and Pacific region. The Asian Development Review seeks high-quality empirically-rigorous papers with relevance to policy issues. Articles are intended for readership by economists and researchers in government, the private sector, academia, think tanks, and international organizations.

As an outlet for scholarly intercourse between medical and social sciences, this noteworthy journal seeks to improve practical communication between caregivers and patients and between institutions and the public. International Economics, is devoted to the publication of high quality papers dealing with a wide range of issues related to international economics. The journal especially welcomes empirical contributions that include but are not limited to topics in international trade, commercial policy, open macroeconomics and international finance, migration and factor movements. Most published papers make use of formal economic models and/or formal econometrics. Diaspora Studies is the interdisciplinary journal of the Organisation for Diaspora Initiatives (ODI) and is dedicated to publishing academic research on traditional diasporas and international migrants from the perspective of international relations, economics, politics, identity and history.

The journal focuses specifically on diasporas and migrants as resources for both home and host countries. The scope of the journal includes the role of diasporas and international migration as important drivers in international relations, in development, and within civil societies. The journal welcomes theoretical and empirical contributions on comparative diasporas and state engagement policies, and aims to further scholarship and debate on emerging global networks and transnational identities.

Work on self and identity has a special place in the study of human nature, as self-concerns are arguably at the center of individuals' striving for well-being and for making sense of one's life. Life goals develop and are influenced by one's view of what one is like, the way one would ideally like to be (or would like to avoid being), as well as one's perceptions of what is feasible. Furthermore, conceptions of self and the world affect how one's progress towards these goals is monitored, evaluated, redirected, re-evaluated, and pursued again. Thus, the 8220;self8221; as a construct has far-reaching implications for behavior, self-esteem, motivation, experience of emotions and the world more broadly, and hence for interpersonal relationships, society, and culture.Self and Identity is devoted to the study of these social and psychological processes of the self, including both its agentic aspects, as well as the perceived and construed aspects as reflected in its mental representations. The Journal aims to bring together work on self and identity undertaken by researchers across different subdisciplines within psychology (e.g., social, personality, clinical, development, cognitive), as well as across other social and behavioral disciplines (e.g., sociology, family studies, anthropology, neuroscience). Special emphasis is placed on theories and research that are generative in opening new terrain for future investigation. A second continual motivating goal of the journal, will be work that offers integration at the level of basic processes. 14/31 (Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism) Sport, Education and Society is an international journal which provides a focal point for the publication of social science research on pedagogy, policy and the body in society and the wide range of associated social, cultural, political and ethical issues in physical activity, sport and health. The journal will concentrate both on the forms, contents and contexts of physical education, sport and health education found in schools, colleges and other sites of formal education, and on the pedagogies of play, callisthenics, gymnastics, sport and leisure found in familial contexts, various sports clubs, the leisure industry, private fitness and health studios, dance schools and rehabilitation centres. The aim of Rethinking Marxism is to stimulate interest in and debate over the explanatory power and social consequences of Marxian economic, cultural, and social analysis. To that end, we publish studies that seek to discuss, elaborate, and/or extend Marxian theory. Our concerns include theoretical and philosophical (methodological and epistemological) matters as well as more concrete empirical analyses - all work that leads to the further development of distinctively Marxian discourses. We encourage contributions from people in many disciplines and from a wide range of perspectives. We are also interested in expanding the diversity of styles for producing and presenting Marxian discourses.One distinguishing aim of this journal is to ensure that class is an important part, but not the exclusive focus, of Marxism. We are therefore interested in the complex intersection of class with economic, political, psychological, and all other social processes. Equally important is the task of exploring the philosophical positions that shape Marxian analyses.We are interested in promoting Marxian approaches to social theory because we believe that they can and should play an important role in developing strategies for radical social change-in particular, for an end to class exploitation and the various forms of political, cultural, and psychological oppression (including oppression on the basis of race, gender, and sexual orientation). Research in Human Development is moving away from an isolated emphasis on particular stages ranging from infancy to later adulthood and from a reduction of multiple levels of organization to variables or processes associated with one discipline. Accordingly, Research in Human Development (RHD) seeks to promote a shift away from research focused on development at particular stages (early childhood, adolescence, middle age, older adulthood) and from separate fields of inquiry to a more inclusive, integrative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of human development across the entire life span. The integration of the person and his or her context across life is the focus of the scholarship promoted by this journal; as such, multilevel, multivariate, and integrative longitudinal study of person-context relations is emphasized in these publications. Specifically, an interdisciplinary focus that integratively incorporates biological, psychological, sociological, anthropological, economic, and historical perspectives is stressed in the pages of RHD. To encompass such breadth, the publications incorporate a variety of research methods--from quantitative to qualitative.Moreover, the journal seeks to promote scholarship on the social, cultural, national, and global contexts of human development across diverse ethnic and racial groups employing multiple methods.
