The "Journal of Medical Internet Research" (JMIR; ISSN 1438-8871, Medline-abbreviation: J Med Internet Res) (founded in 1999, now in its' 22nd year!) is a leading health informatics and health services/health policy journal (ranked first by Impact Factor in these disciplines) focussing on digital health, data science, health informatics and emerging technologies for health, medicine, and biomedical research. JMIR was the first open access journal covering health informatics, and the first international scientific peer-reviewed journal on all aspects of research, information and communication in the healthcare field using Internet and Internet-related technologies; a broad field, which is known as "eHealth" [see also What is eHealth and What is eHealth (2)], or now also "digital health", which includes mHealth (mobile health). This field also has significant overlaps with what is called "consumer health informatics", health 2.0/medicine 2.0, or participatory medicine. This focus makes JMIR unique among other medical or medical informatics journals, which tend to focus on clinical informatics or clinical applications. Journal of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism offers a dedicated outlet for research relevant to social sciences and natural resources.The journal publishes peer reviewed original research on all aspects of outdoor recreation planning and management, covering the entire spectrum of settings from wilderness to urban outdoor recreation opportunities. The Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, published by the American Chemical Society on behalf of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal that covers all aspects of mass spectrometry, including fields of scientific inquiry in which mass spectrometry can play a role, including both applications and fundamentals. Polis is a refereed journal which was founded in 1977 to provide a forum for scholars specializing in Ancient Greek Political Thought. Originally the Newsletter of the Society for Greek Political Thought (UK), Polis has over the years evolved into a full-fledged academic journal that publishes material of interest to those who study ancient Greek political thought, whether they do so as classicists, ancient historians, philosophers, or political scientists . Polis maintains ties with the Society for Greek Political Thought and with its membership, but the journal welcomes submissions for peer-review from scholars with no affiliation to the Society .“Political thought” is not defined narrowly as political philosophy but to cover political thinking at all levels, and thus the study of political institutions and practices, history, and literature are all included. It is the aim of this journal to meet two main objectives: to cover the latest research on discrete random structures, and to present applications of such research to problems in combinatorics and computer science. The Japanese Political Economy approaches the study of Japan and its international and domestic relations through interdisciplinary, comparative, and interactive modes of inquiry. The journal is a resource for scholars, policymakers and practitioners who seek to better understand the contemporary and historical, transnational and internal processes of change in Japanese society, politics and economics. It publishes a broad range of scholarship that draws from multiple theoretical, empirical and methodological perspectives.

The scientific journal Acta Neophilologica publishes scientific studies in the field of Western-European, American and other literatures in English. The journal pays special attention to problems from the history of cultural and especially literary and theatrical contacts between Slovenia and Western-European literatures, as well as the problems of Slovenian emigrant literature.
