The "Journal of Medical Internet Research" (JMIR; ISSN 1438-8871, Medline-abbreviation: J Med Internet Res) (founded in 1999, now in its' 22nd year!) is a leading health informatics and health services/health policy journal (ranked first by Impact Factor in these disciplines) focussing on digital health, data science, health informatics and emerging technologies for health, medicine, and biomedical research. JMIR was the first open access journal covering health informatics, and the first international scientific peer-reviewed journal on all aspects of research, information and communication in the healthcare field using Internet and Internet-related technologies; a broad field, which is known as "eHealth" [see also What is eHealth and What is eHealth (2)], or now also "digital health", which includes mHealth (mobile health). This field also has significant overlaps with what is called "consumer health informatics", health 2.0/medicine 2.0, or participatory medicine. This focus makes JMIR unique among other medical or medical informatics journals, which tend to focus on clinical informatics or clinical applications. As eHealth/mHealth is a highly interdisciplinary field we are not only inviting research papers from the medical sciences, but also from the computer, behavioral, social and communication sciences, psychology, library sciences, informatics, human-computer interaction studies, and related fields.

Polis is a refereed journal which was founded in 1977 to provide a forum for scholars specializing in Ancient Greek Political Thought. Originally the Newsletter of the Society for Greek Political Thought (UK), Polis has over the years evolved into a full-fledged academic journal that publishes material of interest to those who study ancient Greek political thought, whether they do so as classicists, ancient historians, philosophers, or political scientists . Polis maintains ties with the Society for Greek Political Thought and with its membership, but the journal welcomes submissions for peer-review from scholars with no affiliation to the Society .“Political thought” is not defined narrowly as political philosophy but to cover political thinking at all levels, and thus the study of political institutions and practices, history, and literature are all included. Polis also publishes articles on the reception of ancient political thought in Europe, America, or elsewhere. The journal speaks for no particular perspective or methodology and it is devoted to the publication of research papers, even though extensive literature reviews and critiques of contemporary research, review essays and book reviews are also included.Polis appears in two issues per annual volume (spring and fall). .
It is the aim of this journal to meet two main objectives: to cover the latest research on discrete random structures, and to present applications of such research to problems in combinatorics and computer science. The goal is to provide a natural home for a significant body of current research, and a useful forum for ideas on future studies in randomness. Results concerning random graphs, hypergraphs, matroids, trees, mappings, permutations, matrices, sets and orders, as well as stochastic graph processes and networks are presented with particular emphasis on the use of probabilistic methods in combinatorics as developed by Paul Erdos. The journal focuses on probabilistic algorithms, average case analysis of deterministic algorithms, and applications of probabilistic methods to cryptography, data structures, searching and sorting. The journal also devotes space to such areas of probability theory as percolation, random walks and combinatorial aspects of probability. Manuscripts should be submitted via email to the Managing Editor, Malgorzata Bednarska at random@amu.edu.pl . Information for contributors appears in the journal as space allows, and is available at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/resolve/openurl?genre=journal&issn=1042-9832/authors.html.
