Psychology of Popular Media Culture ® is a scholarly journal dedicated to publishing empirical research and papers on how popular culture and general media influence individual, group, and system behavior.
The journal publishes rigorous research studies, as well as data-driven theoretical papers on constructs, consequences, program evaluations, and trends related to popular culture and various media sources. Although the journal welcomes and encourages submissions from a wide variety of disciplines, topics should be linked to psychological theory and research.
Psychological Bulletin® publishes evaluative and integrative research reviews and interpretations of issues in scientific psychology. Both qualitative (narrative) and quantitative (meta-analytic) reviews will be considered, depending on the nature of the database under consideration for review.Integrative reviews or research syntheses focus on empirical studies and seek to summarize past research by drawing overall conclusions from many separate investigations that address related or identical hypotheses. A research synthesis typically presents the authors' assessments of * the state of knowledge concerning the relations of interest; * critical assessments of the strengths and weaknesses in past research; and * important issues that research has left unresolved, thereby directing future research so it can yield a maximum amount of new information.Both cumulative and historical approaches (i.e., ones that organize a research literature by highlighting temporally unfolding developments in a field) can be used. Integrative research reviews that develop connections between areas of research are particularly valuable.Manuscripts dealing with topics at the interface of psychological sciences and society are welcome, as are evaluations of applied psychological therapies, programs, and interventions. Expository articles may be published if they are deemed accurate, broad, clear, and pertinent.Methodological articles that previously were submitted to Psychological Bulletin should now be submitted to Psychological Methods. Original theoretical articles should be submitted to Psychological Review, even when they include summaries of research. Research syntheses should be submitted to Psychological Bulletin even when they develop integrated theoretical statements.

In order for research to advance, negative results, which often make a valuable contribution to the field, should be published. However, articles containing negative or null results are frequently not considered for publication or rejected by journals. We welcome papers of this kind, where appropriate and valid power calculations are included that give confidence that a negative result can be relied upon.

The Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology (JSEP) is designed to stimulate and communicate research theory in all areas of sport and exercise psychology. The Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology emphasizes original research reports that advance our understanding of human behavior as it relates to sport and exercise. Comprehensive reviews employing both qualitative and quantitative methods are also encouraged as well as brief reports of soundly designed research studies that are of special interest or importance. Areas of interest include research in social, clinical, developmental, and experimental psychology, as well as psychobiology and personality. Moreover, the terms sport and exercise may pertain to either the independent or dependent variables. Generally speaking, work on motor control processes, studies of sport as a social institution, or broader social issues are beyond the scope of JSEP. A wide variety of methods are acceptable for studying sport and exercise psychology topics.In addition to original research reports and theoretical papers, JSEP publishes a digest of recent sport and exercise publications; book reviews; a commentary section with short articles on methodological advances; innovative pilot or replication research; dialogue on published articles or theoretical issues; and occasional position papers that present innovative ideas of general interest to the field, heuristic observations, or important points on controversial issues.
The European Early Childhood Education Research Journal (EECERJ) is the publication of the European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA), an international organisation dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of research in Early Childhood Education throughout Europe and beyond. CREC is the UK base for the European Early Childhood Research Association. EECERA welcomes and encourages membership and contributions from across the world to share and participate in its European perspective. EECERJ aims to provide a forum for the publication of original research in early childhood education in Europe. With this as its principal focus, it should be emphasised that its definition of education embraces care and that its approach is multidisciplinary, embracing all related fields including psychology, sociology, child health and social work. Contributions from outside the European context are encouraged where there is a relevance to the EECERA's stated aims. 'Early Childhood' is defined as being from birth to eight years of age. The Editorial Board intends to publish papers which have a clear application to early childhood education and care policy and practice and this must be made explicit in the paper. It also seeks to provide a common forum for shared issues in early childhood education research, and, on occasion, to provide a forum for controversy in the discussion of such issues. Papers may take the form of reports of research in progress, discussion of conceptual and methodological issues and review articles. All papers are peer reviewed. The South African Journal of Accounting Research (SAJAR) publishes peer-reviewed original research papers, notes and commentaries that address issues relevant to accounting academics and professional accountants in Southern Africa and elsewhere. This includes areas of interest in the study and practice in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, management accounting, finance, ethics and information systems. Research papers should be analytical and make a contribution to knowledge in the field. They may be empirically based (including survey and case study methods) or review and theoretically based. Notes and commentaries should meet all the criteria for good quality research, however their interest and topicality may compensate for the research problem being less rigorously pursued. Notes and commentaries would typically be shorter than research papers.
To provide a balanced presentation contributions are welcomed from the fields mentioned above, and from related areas, such as environmental accounting, corporate law, corporate governance, and accounting education. These fields may be approached from a wide variety of perspectives such as the behavioural, technological, institutional, organisational, regulatory, societal, educational, or environmental. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent for evaluation based on the double blind peer-review procedure.

An Account uses results previously published by the authors to teach readers new insights and thinking in an area of materials research.
