  • bioenergy.

Environmental Technology Reviews accepts papers in all of the areas above. The journal also has an annual Journal Focus Section, for which papers that examine a selected area are particularly encouraged. The 2016 Journal Focus Section is Circular Economy Developments.

Environmental Technology Reviews  is a forum to capture and analyse significant developments in the rapidly developing area of environmental science and engineering research.  The world today faces environmental challenges such as climate change, resource sustainability and pollution at a scale never seen before. This journal examines these issues for  an international readership with a relatively broad scientific base and we welcome contributions from scientists and engineers in industry, government and universities.

Environmental Technology Reviews publishes peer reviewed Brief Reviews (up to 5000 words) and Critical Reviews. The length of Critical Review papers is more flexible than for a Brief Review paper, but is usually in the range of up to 12,000 words. Brief Reviews are reviews on a well-defined, specific topic area covering approximately the last five years and the most interesting/significant developments in that area.

Papers are published both in print and online. Accepted manuscripts are generally published online within 1 month of acceptance, prior to appearing in the annual print issue. Environmental Technology Reviews is committed to maximising the visibility of research.  All accepted papers can be published Open Access. In addition, the Editor selects a small number of papers per year for additional promotion; these papers are made free to access for a limited period of time.

The journal originated from Environmental Technology , a forum for the rapid publication of technological manuscripts in the same field. More information can be found on the journal's homepage at www.tandfonline.com/tent. Subscribers to Environmenta Technology will receive Environmental Technology Reviews as part of their annual subscription.

DOAJ Logo
This new journal will focus on a challenge-oriented approach to solutions that will bring together excellent natural sciences, which underpin the development and application of technologies, to understand and deliver a sustainable future. We recognize the need to encourage and disseminate the creation and development of new innovative products, technologies and ideas that improve our environment. Sectors of impact include soil, air, water and food in both rural and urban landscapes.

The journal represents a platform for disseminating the fundamental scientific evidence for environmental protection and sustainable development. The journal will bring together excellent natural sciences, which underpin the understanding, development and application of technologies, to deliver a sustainable future. Dissemination of the fundamental science, methodologies, tools and techniques, in addition to the policy and governance landscape around the topic of sustainable future, are the focus of this publication. It brings together the need to consider the science and technology for environmental benefits including the development of both smarter, cleaner technologies for environmental protection, more efficient processing methods for resource use efficiency and critically, the environmental evidence for their uptake and success.

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry

ISSN: 0730-7268eISSN: 1552-8618

The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) publishes two journals: Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (ET&C) and Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management (IEAM). Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry is dedicated to furthering scientific knowledge and disseminating information on environmental toxicology and chemistry, including the application of these sciences to risk assessment. Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management focuses on the application of science in environmental decision-making, regulation, and management, including aspects of policy and law, and the development of scientifically sound approaches to environmental problem solving. Together, these journals provide a forum for professionals in academia, business, government, and other segments of society involved in the use, protection, and management of the environment for the enhancement of ecological health and human welfare. Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry is interdisciplinary in scope and integrates the fields of environmental toxicology; environmental, analytical, and molecular chemistry; ecology; physiology; biochemistry; microbiology; genetics; genomics; environmental engineering; chemical, environmental, and biological modeling; epidemiology; and earth sciences. ET&C seeks to publish papers describing original experimental or theoretical work that significantly advances understanding in the area of environmental toxicology, environmental chemistry and hazard/risk assessment. Emphasis is given to papers that enhance capabilities for the prediction, measurement, and assessment of the fate and effects of chemicals in the environment, rather than simply providing additional data. The scientific impact of papers is judged in terms of the breadth and depth of the findings and the expected influence on existing or future scientific practice. Methodological papers must make clear not only how the work differs from existing practice, but the significance of these differences to the field. Site-based research or monitoring must have regional or global implications beyond the particular site, such as evaluating processes, mechanisms, or theory under a natural environmental setting. ET&C does not publish papers whose primary focus is on human health, occupational exposure, water and wastewater treatment, remediation technologies, environmental control processes, or pollution prevention. Papers with a heavy emphasis on environmental policy or regulation will be referred to IEAM. Additional information on the editorial scope and instructions for authors may be found at wileyonlinelibrary.com/journal/122563640/home.

Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology

ISSN: 1382-6689eISSN: 1872-7077

Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology publishes the results of studies concerning toxic and pharmacological effects of (human and veterinary) drugs and of environmental contaminants in animals and man.Areas of special interest are: molecular mechanisms of toxicity, biotransformation and toxicokinetics (including toxicokinetic modelling), molecular, biochemical and physiological mechanisms explaining differences in sensitivity between species and individuals, the characterisation of pathophysiological models and mechanisms involved in the development of effects and the identification of biological markers that can be used to study exposure and effects in man and animals. In addition to full length papers, short communications, full-length reviews and mini-reviews, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology will publish in depth assessments of special problem areas. The latter publications may exceed the length of a full length paper three to fourfold. A basic requirement is that the assessments are made under the auspices of international groups of leading experts in the fields concerned. The information examined may either consist of data that were already published, or of new data that were obtained within the framework of collaborative research programmes. Provision is also made for the acceptance of minireviews on (classes of) compounds, toxicities or mechanisms, debating recent advances in rapidly developing fields that fall within the scope of the journal.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Environmental and Resource Economics

ISSN: 0924-6460eISSN: 1573-1502

The primary concern of Environmental & Resource Economics is the application of economic theory and methods to environmental issues and problems that require detailed analysis in order to improve management strategies. The contemporary environmental debate is in a constant state of flux, with new or relatively unexplored topics continually emerging. The Journal provides a forum for the further exploration of causes, consequences and policy responses linked to these topics, across a range of spatial and temporal scales up to the global dimension. Areas of particular interest include evaluation and development of instruments of environmental policy; cost-benefit and cost effectiveness analysis; sectoral environmental policy impact analysis; modeling and simulation; institutional arrangements; resource pricing and the valuation of environmental goods; and indicators of environmental quality. The contents are chosen for their relevance to the process of policy formulation and application.
