Contemporary Levant is an international peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary journal of the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), a British Academy-sponsored institute. The journal publishes original research on contemporary politics, society and culture in the Levant region, its diasporas and neighbouring countries that have a clear relevance to it. The journal aims to foster research agendas that engage with and reflect current and emerging issues in the region. With the aim of maintaining a balance between empirical research and theoretical developments, the journal welcomes scholarly contributions from various disciplines including: anthropology, sociology, politics, religion and theology, cultural studies, modern history, social geography, media, film studies and literature.

Contemporary Music Review is a contemporary musicians' journal. It provides a forum where new tendencies in music can be discussed in both breadth and depth. Each issue focuses on a specific topic. The main concern of the journal is music today in all its aspects--its techniques of performance and composition, aesthetics, technology and its relationship with other disciplines and currents of thought. The publication may also serve as a vehicle to communicate actual musical materials. Contemporary Politics provides a platform for studies of politics that are alert to the international without being international relations, and conscious of national difference without ignoring international context. Such studies are often implicitly comparative, even if not explicitly so.Contemporary Politics ranges across international relations, comparative politics and national politics, and is not constrained by disciplinary boundaries in any domain. It takes an interest in major conceptual and theoretical issues generated by current world politics.Contemporary Politics is keen to uncover and explain politics in hidden spaces, and welcomes submissions that bring marginalized and misunderstood aspects of current international politics into focus and into the academic mainstream.Contemporary Politics carries articles that are accessible to informed academic and non-academic audiences around the world. Contemporary Psychoanalysis, a double blind peer-reviewed international quarterly, is the journal of the William Alanson White Institute and the William Alanson White Psychoanalytic Society. We publish creative and original psychoanalytic writing from both new and experienced authors. Although we very much encourage diverse perspectives, our primary focus is on interpersonal and relational psychoanalysis. Our pages include a mix of the scholarly and the clinical, the heady and the playful. Reflecting the objectives of the Academy of Social Sciences, it emphasises the publication of work that engages with issues of major public interest and concern across the world, and highlights the implications of that work for policy and professional practice. Contributions are welcome in any appropriate form, including critical essays, reviews of significant topics, qualitative or quantitative empirical studies, including case studies and large-scale statistical analyses. Well documented examples of social science in action, composite reviews of sets of books and other publications are also welcome. Papers will not normally be more than 5,000 to 6,000 words. Whilst the submission of individual papers is encouraged, proposals for special issues on relevant themes that incorporate contributions from a variety of social sciences will also be carefully considered. Contemporary Theatre Review is an international peer-reviewed journal that engages with the crucial issues and innovations in theatre today. Encompassing a wide variety of theatre forms, from new playwrights and devisors to theatres of movement, image and other forms of physical expression, from new acting methods to music theatre, live art and multi-media production work, the journal encourages contributions on physical theatre, opera, dance, design and the increasingly blurred boundaries between the physical and the visual arts. We aim to publish essays that face the challenge of finding innovative critical approaches to match artistic experimentation, and to encourage scholarly work that transcends established categories of academic practice. This may involve a focus on productions that bring together different artistic traditions, or a consideration of how theatre engages with social and political realities, or an engagement with the format of the academic essay in a bid to reflect the performance being analysed. The journal examines trends in contemporary theatre and performance, and seeks to explore how theatrical vocabularies are shifting to accommodate and reflect global and local cultures. As well as research articles, the journal publishes book reviews, and makes space for production notes, designs, manifestos and interviews by emergent and established theatre-makers, which are collected in a Documents section. Meanwhile the journal’s Backpages section strives for a greater degree of immediate, topical engagement than is usual in academic drama publishing, and aims to present a more expansive view of theatre and performance than is usually offered in general review-based print and digital media. Continuum is an academic journal of media and cultural studies. For over two decades it has contributed to the formation of these disciplines by identifying new areas for investigation and developing new agendas for enquiry in the fields. The journal editors are interested in papers investigating the relationship between media texts and wider questions of culture. Corrections: Policy, Practice, and Research is a peer-reviewed journal with a broad correctional focus encompassing a wide range of relevant topics and innovative approaches from new theoretical perspectives and research findings to their implications for improving policy and practice. Criminal Justice Ethics is a journal published three times a year designed to focus greater attention on ethical issues in criminal justice by and for philosophers, criminal justice professionals, lawyers and judges, and other contributors to an informed social discourse. Critical Discourse Studies is an interdisciplinary journal for the social sciences. Its primary aim is to publish critical research that advances our understanding of how discourse figures in social processes, social structures, and social change.Critical Discourse Studies has been established in response to the proliferation of critical discourse studies across the social sciences and humanities. We will consider for publication papers that meet the needs of scholars in diverse disciplines and areas of study which develop critical perspectives on the relationship between discourse and social dynamics.
