Materials Today Chemistry is a multi-disciplinary journal focused on all aspects of materials chemistry.

Materials chemistry is one of the fastest developing areas of science, covering the application of chemistry-based techniques to the study of materials; including materials synthesis and behavior, and the relationships between material structure and properties at the atomic and molecular scale. Materials Today Chemistry provides a high impact forum for the discussion of research that is helping advance the field through new discoveries and new techniques.

Furthering the Materials Today mission to aid the creation and sharing of materials science knowledge and experience, Materials Today Communications offers the materials science community an innovative, efficient and flexible route for the publication of scientifically and ethically sound articles which may not always find the right home on first submission. Our highly experienced and well-respected editorial team, composed of Editors and Editorial Board members from across Elsevier's materials science journals, ensure that all papers are rigorously and fairly peer-reviewed.

Peer-reviewed articles that meet the standards of quality set by the Editors and Referees of our sister journals, but which were considered unsuitable for publication in those journals, will be automatically accepted for publication in Materials Today Communications without resubmission or additional review*. Rapid publication of accepted articles is achieved using article-based, online publishing to ensure each paper is visible to the community as quickly as possible.

Materials Today Communications publishes original research papers of any length, and follows a hybrid publication model, providing authors with the option to publish their papers Open Access for a fee of 1000 USD or freely via the subscription route.

Materials Today: Proceedings provides the materials science community with a fast and flexible route to the publication of research presented at leading scientific conferences spanning the field of materials science, technology and engineering. Conference proceedings are only accepted for publication in Materials Today: Proceedings after a full assessment from the Materials Today editorial team. All papers must be original, and peer-review is mandatory.

What can Materials Today: Proceedings offer authors and conference organizers?

Accepted proceedings are published on ScienceDirect and available via www.MaterialsToday.comwww.MaterialsToday.com within 8 weeks of receipt of the final manuscripts. Organizers are also welcome to order print issues, CDs and USBs. There is no limit to the amount of papers an issue can contain.

Supported by the journal Editor, organizers are fully credited with their issue and are responsible for quality control, the review process and the content of individual conference papers.

Templates (both Latex and Word) are provided to assist in the publication and the final online papers contain linked references, XML versions and DOI numbers.

Is the journal Open Access?

The journal offers Full Open Access, Hybrid Open Access and traditional Subscription based publishing options. The cost for both Open Access Issues and Open Access articles is set at a special introductory rate of $100 per paper for conferences accepted before 31st December 2015.

The international, interdisciplinary journal Mathematical Social Sciences publishes original research articles, survey papers, short notes and book reviews. The journal emphasizes the unity of mathematical modelling in economics, psychology, political sciences, sociology and other social sciences.Topics of particular interest include the fundamental aspects of choice, information, and preferences (decision science) and of interaction (game theory and economic theory), the measurement of utility, welfare and inequality, the formal theories of justice and implementation, voting rules, cooperative games, fair division, cost allocation, bargaining, matching, social networks, and evolutionary and other dynamics models.Papers published by the journal are mathematically rigorous but no bounds, from above or from below, limits their technical level. Mathematical and Computer Modelling provides a medium of exchange for the diverse disciplines utilizing mathematical or computer modelling as either a theoretical or working tool. Equal attention is given to the mechanics, methodology and theory of modelling with an attempt to advocate either mathematical or computer modelling, or a combination of the two, in an integrative form. While the unifying aspect of the journal is its adherence to quantitative models, it seeks diversity by being concerned with a variety of disciplines, including engineering, biological, medical, environmental, social, behavioural and other sciences. Both theoretical and applied works which employ mathematical or computer modelling will be considered for publication. Papers dealing with experiments shall be considered when the results are presented as an integral part of the modelling process.

The aim of the journal is to provide an international forum for the dissemination of up-to-date information in the fields of the mathematics and computers, in particular (but not exclusively) as they apply to the dynamics of systems, their simulation and scientific computation in general. Published material ranges from short, concise research papers to more general tutorial articles.Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, published monthly, is the official organ of IMACS, the International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (Formerly AICA). Matrix Biology publishes Regular Research Papers, Brief Reports, Mini Reviews, Landmark Essays, Full Length Reviews and Announcements.Regular Research PapersMatrix Biology will review for publication studies utilizing most scientific technologies including molecular biology, cell biology, immunochemistry, structural biology, computational biology, theoretical biology, and macromolecular chemistry where the subject is extra cellular matrix or is substantially related to matrix and its biological role. The journal will publish articles that are scientifically rigorous, complete within some logical framework, address molecular or cellular mechanisms, and present results that are timely and above average significance. Methods without application to a significant project and data on a new species or system similar to results already in the literature will not be accepted as a regular paper but may be suitable as a Short Note.Brief ReportsMatrix Biology will also review for publication brief reports that meet the same standards of quality and field of interest as regular papers but have a narrower scope and more focused interest. Examples are: DNA sequence from a new species of special interest where the sequence from another species is in the literature; a probe, assay or method that is particularly novel and useful; a new mutation that broadens understanding in a genetic disease where other mutations are known; and brief results of more than usual interest that will be followed by a more detailed study.Mini ReviewsThe aims of the reviews are to: (a) summarize the general concepts in the field; (b) provide a brief summary of the new information in the field; and (c) define unresolved questions and disagreements about currently available data. The mini-reviews will be of two different types, single mini-reviews that will summarize some new and important discovery in the field, and cluster mini-reviews on a topic that has been under investigation for some time. To ensure that the mini-reviews reflect a consensus to the scientists in the field, they will be published in one or two issues as series of articles consisting of (a) an Introductory Review by a Special Editor selected for the series; (b) two or more specialized reviews from two or more additional experts in the field and (c) Letters-to-the-Editor by additional experts in the field who will be invited to comment or volunteer to comment on specific issues raised in the reviews.Landmark EssaysFull Length ReviewsThese are invited comprehensive summaries and analyses of topics that have been under investigation for some time.AnnouncementsAnnouncements of national or international meetings may be published in Matrix Biology.
