EPJ Data Science is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the SpringerOpen brand.
Data-driven science is rapidly emerging as a complementary approach to the traditional hypothesis-driven method. This revolution accompanying the paradigm shift from reductionism to complex systems sciences has already largely transformed the natural sciences and is about to bring the same changes to the techno-socio-economic sciences, viewed broadly. The journal EPJ Data Science addresses the challenges of the data revolution across academic disciplines: · how to extract meaningful data from systems with ever-increasing complexity· how to analyze data in ways that inspire new insights· how to generate data that is needed but not yet available· how to develop new empirical laws, or more fundamental theories, concerning the function of complex natural or artificial systems EPJ Data Science spans a broad range of research areas and applications with a focus on social systems, where it comprises those research lines that regard digital traces of human behavior as first-order objects for scientific investigation. This includes human and animal social behavior and interaction, economic and financial systems, management and business networks, socio-technical infrastructure, health and environmental systems, the science of science, as well as general risk and crisis scenario forecasting.

EPJ Research Infrastructures is dedicated to the publication of high-quality material related to all aspects of fundamental and applied sciences where the organization and workings of research infrastructures - whether through virtual research networks with shared resources or via major facilities and instruments on Earth or in space - plays an essential role. Submissions are invited from all users and staff of research infrastructures, members of related administrative or funding organizations, and scholars studying both research and related technology infrastructures as a field.

Aims and ScopeThe Earth Science Informatics [ESIN] journal aims at rapid publication of high-quality, current, cutting-edge, and provocative scientific work in the area of Earth Science Informatics as it relates to Earth systems science and space science. This includes articles on the application of formal and computational methods, computational Earth science, spatial and temporal analyses, and all aspects of computer applications to the acquisition, storage, processing, interchange, and visualization of data and information about the materials, properties, processes, features, and phenomena that occur at all scales and locations in the Earth system’s five components (atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, biosphere, cryosphere) and in space (see 'About this journal' for more detail). The quarterly journal publishes research, methodology, and software articles, as well as editorials, comments, and book and software reviews. Review articles of relevant findings, topics, and methodologies are also considered.
Earth, Moon, and Planets: An International Journal of Solar System Science, publishes original contributions on subjects ranging from star and planet formation and the origin and evolution of the solar and extra-solar planetary systems, to asteroids, comets, meteoroids and near-Earth objects, including the terrestrial impact hazard and solar system - terrestrial relationships, and related topics. Coverage is concerned with the physical and chemical properties of the material constitution of these bodies, including chaotic behavior. The journal also publishes special issues on topics of relevance and conference proceedings, review articles on problems of current interest, and book reviews. The editor welcomes proposals from guest editors for special thematic issues.Commonly used title abbreviations: Earth Moon Planets, EM&P, EMP
