Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering presents original, peer-reviewed papers on research related to the broad spectrum of earthquake engineering. The journal offers a forum for presentation and discussion of such matters as European damaging earthquakes, new developments in earthquake regulations, and national policies applied after major seismic events, including strengthening of existing buildings.Coverage includes seismic hazard studies and methods for mitigation of risk; earthquake source mechanism and strong motion characterization and their use for engineering applications; geological and geotechnical site conditions under earthquake excitations; cyclic behavior of soils; analysis and design of earth structures and foundations under seismic conditions; zonation and microzonation methodologies; earthquake scenarios and vulnerability assessments; earthquake codes and improvements, and much more. This is the Official Publication of the European Association for Earthquake Engineering.
The Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment reports on the investigation, study and solution of engineering and environmental problems arising from the interaction between geology and the activities of humanity, as well as measures for the prevention or remediation of geological hazards. This is the official journal of the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment. The journal discusses the geomorphology, structure, stratigraphy, lithology and ground water conditions of geological formations; characterisation of the mineralogical, physico-geomechanical, chemical and hydraulic properties of earth materials involved in construction, resource recovery and environmental change; assessment of the mechanical and hydrological behaviour of soil and rock masses; prediction of changes to the above properties with time; determination of the parameters to be considered in analyzing the stability of engineering works and earth masses; maintenance of the environmental condition and p
The Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology provides rapid publication of peer-reviewed articles describing significant advances and discoveries in the fields of air, soil, water, and food contamination and pollution as well as articles on methodology and other disciplines concerned with the introduction, presence and effects of toxicants in the total environment. With its high standards of scientific quality and clarity, the Bulletin provides a meeting ground for research workers who daily encounter problems related to the contamination of our environment and who welcome opportunities to share in new discoveries as soon as they are made.
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine is a translation of two Russian journals: Byulleten Eksperimental'noi Biologii i Meditsiny and Kletochnye Tekhnologii v Biologii i Meditsine. Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine presents original peer reviewed research papers and brief reports on priority new research results in physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, pharmacology, immunology, microbiology, genetics, oncology, and other topics. Recently introduced sections of the journal, entitled Biogerontology and Human Ecology cover novel trends in science. World scientific interest in stem cells prompted inclusion into Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine a quarterly scientific journal called Cell Technologies in Biology and Medicine. This publishes only original papers from the leading research institutions on molecular biology of stem and progenitor cells, stem cell as the basis of gene therapy, molecular language of cell-to-cell communication, cytokines, chemokines, growth and other factors
The Bulletin of Mathematical Biology is devoted to research at the junction of computational, theoretical and experimental biology. Articles offer a combination of theory and experiment, documenting theoretical advances with clear exposition of how they further biological understanding. Its aim is to be of major interest to theorists and experimental biologists alike. The Bulletin of mathematical biology also invites submissions of review articles which offer an in-depth treatment of an emerging research area, or a significant recent development, in the general area of computational, theoretical and mathematical biology. Those interested in writing such a review article should contact James Sneyd at sneyd@math.auckland.ac.nz This is the official journal of the Society for Mathematical Biology.
The Bulletin of Volcanology publishes papers on volcanoes, their products, their eruptive behavior, and their hazards. Papers aimed at understanding the deeper structure of volcanoes, and the evolution of magmatic systems using geochemical, petrological, and geophysical techniques are also published. The journal is organized in three main sections: Research articles, including occasional reviews; Short scientific communications; and a Forum providing for discussion of controversial issues and for comment and reply on previously published Research articles and Short scientific communications.Bulletin of Volcanology was founded in 1922, as Bulletin Volcanologique, and is the official journal of the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI).
The Bulletin of the Brazilian Mathematical Society was relaunched in 1989 in a new edition and international editorial board. This journal publishes high quality papers in mathematics.
Bulletin of the Lebedev Physics Institute has been issued since 1970. It promptly publishes results of new original experimental and theoretical investigations carried out at the Lebedev Physics Institute, the Prokhorov General Physics Institute, and the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences. All papers undergo careful examination by leading experts in the corresponding field. Articles cover all topics of physics. The following are the main subject headings: Theoretical Physics; Atomic and Molecular Physics; Nuclear Physics; Optics; Lasers; Condensed Matter Physics; Physics of Solids; Biophysics.
The Bulletin publishes original research articles and expository survey articles in all branches of mathematics. It is published jointly by the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society and Universiti Sains Malaysia. From 2012, the Bulletin is published in one volume of four issues per year. The journal has a 2011 impact factor of 0.779, and is ranked 72 from 288 journals in the mathematics category. The Bulletin is reviewed/indexed amongst others by the *Science Citation Index Expanded *Journal Citation Reports Science Edition *Mathematical Reviews/MathSciNet *Zentralblatt MATH *Scopus *Current Index to Statistics *Statistical Theory and Method Abstracts *Malaysian Abstracting and Indexing SystemThe Bulletin is also included in the Australian Research Council administered ERA Journal List. The Bulletin can be accessed from the Electronic Library of Mathematics (ELibM) by FIZ Karlsruhe/Zentralblatt MATH as well as from the AMS Digital Mathematics Registry.
This journal is devoted exclusively to publishing the transactions of various Russian Academy of Sciences congresses, conferences, symposia and school seminars across the fields of physics, thus providing access to a very large body of authoritative, advanced research results in pure and applied physics in Russia and the former Soviet Union. Articles presented here are usually complete and published nowhere else. In some cases, the papers are work-in-progress reports that may be published later in finished form in specialized journals. For the most part, the contributors are affiliated with Russian Academy of Sciences institutes, other leading physics research institutes throughout the former Soviet Union, and major Russian universities, sometimes with foreign collaborators. Comprising more than 2000 pages annually, the journal presents an enormous amount of information that cannot be obtained elsewhere.
