Aquatic Sciences - Research Across Boundaries publishes original research, overviews, and reviews dealing with aquatic systems (wetlands, freshwater and marine systems) and their boundaries, including the impact of human activities on these systems. The coverage ranges from molecular-level mechanistic studies to investigations at the whole ecosystem scale, including fish ecology. Aquatic Sciences publishes articles presenting research across disciplinary and environmental boundaries, i.e. studies examining interactions among geological, microbial, biological, chemical, physical, hydrological, and societal processes, as well as studies assessing land-water, air-water, benthic-pelagic, river-ocean, lentic-lotic, and groundwater-surface water interactions. Astronomy Letters (Pis’ma v Astronomicheskii Zhurnal) traditionally publishes the results of original research in all branches of modern astronomy and astrophysics including high energy astrophysics, cosmology, space astronomy, theoretical astrophysics, radioastronomy, extra galactic astronomy, stellar astronomy, and investigation of the Solar system.
Astronomy Reports (Astronomicheskii Zhurnal), founded in 1924, is the most prominent astronomy journal in the former Soviet Union. It is also widely known and cited abroad. The journal publishes original papers on astronomical topics, including theoretical and observational astrophysics, physics of the Sun, planetary astrophysics, radioastronomy, stellar astronomy, celestial mechanics, and astronomy methods and instrumentation. It also publishes chronicles, proceedings of international conferences, and book reviews.
Astrophysical Bulletin presents original and review papers in various fields of modern astrophysics. Topics covered include problems of astrophysical observations of stars and galaxies, cosmology, astrophysical instrumentation. Astrophysical Bulletin traditionally publishes the results of original research in various branches of modern astronomy and astrophysics, including observational and theoretical astrophysics, physics of the Sun, radioastronomy, stellar astronomy, extragalactic astronomy, cosmology, astronomy methods and instrumentation. The Journal was founded in 1936, being the first special journal in the area of control. At present the scope of the journal is entirely control theory problems and applications. The journal publishes surveys, original papers, and short communications in the field of control theory (deterministic, stochastic, adaptive, robust formulations) and its applications (computer control, components and instruments, process control, social and economy control, etc.).
BMC Personalized Medicine is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of personalized approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. The journal welcomes research exploring how genetic, molecular, environmental, digital, and lifestyle factors inform individualized healthcare, including areas such as patient stratification, biomarker discovery, pharmacogenomics, and clinical implementation.
The monthly journal Biochemistry (Moscow) is the international English edition of the Russian scientific research journal Biokhimiya. Biokhimiya was founded by the Russian Academy of Sciences (formerly Academy of Sciences of the USSR) and the Russian Biochemical Society in 1936. Since 1956 Biokhimiya has been followed by its English translation. The Russian and English editions are now issued simultaneously. The journal includes research papers in all fields of biochemistry as well as biochemical aspects of molecular biology, bioorganic chemistry, microbiology, immunology, physiology, and biomedical sciences. Coverage also extends to new experimental methods in biochemistry, theoretical contributions of biochemical importance, reviews of contemporary biochemical topics, and mini-reviews (News in Biochemistry). This journal is intended for scientists, postgraduates, teachers at universities and high schools, students, and specialists at research institutes. It is also a valuable resource, providing regular and
The Journal publishes original articles that elucidate physical, chemical, and molecular mechanisms, which underlie basic properties of biological membranes and mediate membrane-related cellular functions. The primary topics of the Journal are membrane structure, mechanisms of membrane transport, bioenergetics and photobiology, intracellular signaling as well as membrane aspects of cell biology, immunology, and medicine. The Journal is multidisciplinary and focuses on those articles that employ a variety of experimental approaches, basically biophysical but also biochemical, cytological, and molecular biological. The Journal publishes articles that strive for unveiling membrane and cellular functions through innovative theoretical models and computer simulations.
This Journal covers all major aspects of Biomedical chemistry and related areas, including proteomics and molecular biology of (patho) physiological processes, biochemistry, neurochemistry, immunochemistry and clinical chemistry, bioinformatics, gene therapy, drug design and delivery, biochemical pharmacology, introduction and advertisement of new (biochemical) methods into experimental and clinical medicine. The Journal also publish review articles. All issues of journal usually contain invited reviews.
Established in 1946, Biologia publishes high-quality research papers in the fields of microbial, plant and animal sciences. Microbial sciences papers span all aspects of Bacteria, Archaea and microbial Eucarya including biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics. Plant sciences topics include fundamental research in taxonomy, geobotany, genetics and all fields of experimental botany including cellular, whole-plant and community physiology. Zoology coverage includes animal systematics and taxonomy, morphology, ecology and physiology from cellular to molecular level. Each issue offers papers from all the above-mentioned fields of biology, presenting original experimental, methodological or theoretical research. Under Editor-in-Chief F. Hindák, of Bratislava, Slovakia, each section has its own Editorial Board. The journal also publishes invited and some unsolicited review articles, and short and preliminary communications of outstanding importance.
Biological Procedures Online is an open access, peer-reviewed journal which publishes articles that improve access to techniques and methods in the medical and biological sciences. Articles feature step-by-step protocols that allow researchers to implement methods in 'cookbook' fashion at the bench top. Biological Procedures Online transferred to BioMed Central in 2011.
