Geochemical Transactions is ready to receive manuscripts on all aspects of geochemistry. The official journal of the Geochemistry Division of the American Chemical Society.
Chemie der Erde, one of the oldest journals for geochemistry-related topics, promotes broad interdisciplinary discussion on chemical problems in the geosciences, geoecology and environmental sciences. Numerous contributions by young authors have allowed the journal to retain its "young" scientific profile. Publications addressing interdisciplinary questions are particularly encouraged. The journal, through very personalized consultation and its worldwide distribution, offers entry into the world of international scientific communication. The international journal "Chemie der Erde" publishes original papers, brief news items and surveys of selected topics.
Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems (G3) publishes research papers on the chemistry, physics, and biology of Earth and planetary processes. Articles should be of broad interest and interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged, but not required. G3 seeks original scientific contributions pertaining to understanding the Earth as a system, including observational, experimental, and theoretical investigations of the solid Earth, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere at all spatial and temporal scales.Areas of interest for this peer-reviewed journal include, but are not limited to:The physics and chemistry of the Earth, including its structure, composition, physical properties, dynamics, and evolutionPrinciples and applications of geochemical proxies to studies of Earth historyThe physical properties, composition, and temporal evolution of the Earth's major reservoirs and the coupling between themThe dynamics of geochemical and biogeochemical cycles at all spatial and temporal scalesPhysical and cosmochemical constraints on the composition, origin, and evolution of the Earth and other terrestrial planetsThe chemistry and physics of solar system materials that are relevant to the formation, evolution, and current state of the Earth and the planetsAdvances in modeling, observation, and experimentation that are of widespread interest in the geosciencesG3 is an online only journal and strives to be at the cutting edge of electronic publishing by encouraging the innovative use of data analysis and visualization formats. The journal also encourages authors to work with the editors and AGU to develop new and innovative means of electronic communication.
Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis focuses on the use of geochemistry in mineral exploration/resource development and environmental issues related to mining.
Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta publishes research papers in a wide range of subjects in terrestrial geochemistry, meteoritics, and planetary geochemistry. The scope of the journal includes:1). Physical chemistry of gases, aqueous solutions, glasses, and crystalline solids2). Igneous and metamorphic petrology3). Chemical processes in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and lithosphere of the Earth4). Organic geochemistry5). Isotope geochemistry6). Meteoritics and meteorite impacts7). Geodesy and Cartography is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original research papers. It publishes papers in the following fields of research:
Its aims to promote discussion between the various disciplines that work on the dynamics of the lithosphere and hydrosphere. There are no constraints over themes provided the main thrust of the paper relates to Earth's internal and external geodynamics. In addition Special Issues devoted to a single topic, and edited by an authority in that field, are also published.
Geoenergy focuses on the publications of timely and topical research in subsurface geoscience, critical for this new era of sustainable energy. Geoenergy continues the mission of its sister journal Petroleum Geoscience.
The objective of the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering is to bridge the gap between the engineering, the geology and the science of petroleum and natural gas by publishing explicitly written articles intelligible to scientists and engineers working in any field of petroleum engineering, natural gas engineering and petroleum (natural gas) geology. An attempt is made in all issues to balance the subject matter and to appeal to a broad readership. The Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering covers the fields of petroleum (and natural gas) exploration, production and flow in its broadest possible sense. Topics include: origin and accumulation of petroleum (natural gas); petroleum (natural gas) geochemistry; reservoir engineering; rock mechanics/petrophysics; well logging, testing and evaluation; mathematical modelling; enhanced oil and gas recovery; petroleum (natural gas) geology; compaction/diagenesis; petroleum (natural gas) economics; drilling and drilling fluids; thermodynamics and phase behavior, fluid mechanics in porous media and multi-phase flow; reservoir simulation; production engineering; formation evaluation; exploration methods and C02 Sequestration in geological formations/sub-surface.Papers will be published with the minimum of publication delay. Research articles, case histories, field process reports, short communications, book reviews, symposia proceedings and review articles are accepted. Generally, review articles on some topic of special current interest will be published.
The journal Geofizika succeeds the series Papers, which has been published since 1923 at the Geophysical Institute in Zagreb. Geofizika publishes contributions dealing with physics of the atmosphere, the sea and the Earth's interior. As of 2006 (Vol. 23) the journal is published semiannually. Older volumes were issued annually. The journal is indexed in:Compendex, EMBASE, GeoAbstracts, Geobase, GeoRef, Meteorological and Geoastrophysical Abstracts, Referativnyj Žurnal, Scopus, Science Citation Index Expanded, Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition.
Geofluids provides an international forum for original research into the role of fluids in mineralogical, chemical, and structural evolution of the Earth's crust. Its explicit aim is to disseminate ideas across the range of sub-disciplines in which Geofluids research is carried out. To this end, authors are encouraged to stress the transdisciplinary relevance of their research, and to make their work as accessible as possible to readers from other sub-disciplines. Geofluids emphasizes both chemical and physical aspects of subsurface fluids throughout the Earth's crust (although excluding silicate melts). Geofluids spans studies of groundwater, terrestrial or submarine geothermal fluids, basinal brines, petroleum, metamorphic waters or magmatic fluids. Articles may describe theoretical or observational studies, explore the geologic, geochemical, or geophysical attributes of subsurface fluids, quantify the geologic controls on permeability, geochemical transport and heat transport, or document applied aspects of crustal fluid behaviour. Examples of areas covered include, but are not restricted to:
