Each issue contains valuable contributions on: hypersonic flow, boundary layer theory, turbulence and hydrodynamic stability, free boundary flows, plasma physics, shock waves, explosives and detonation processes, combustion theory, multiphase flows, heat and mass transfer, composite materials, thermal properties of new materials, plasticity, creep, and failure.
The Journal of Biorheology, the official journal of the Japanese Society of Biorheology, is an international journal covering the science and application of the deformation and flow properties of biological materials, including food materials. The aim of the journal is to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review papers dealing with the dynamics of physiological processes at all levels of organization, from organs to the molecular level. The scope of the journal covers the basic science and its applications in the broad field of biorheology: the rheology of macromolecules, cell rheology, tissue and organ rheology, and food rheology. The Journal of Biorheology accepts original articles, brief communications, and review articles. The editors encourage the submission of biorheological analysis of pathological processes and their clinical implications, including basic clinical research on hemodynamics and hemorheology. Also highly welcome are translational clinical studies and scientific research between the fields of engineering and medicine.
The Journal of Composite Materials is the leading journal of advanced composite materials technology and is now published 26 times a year. Major areas covered include: CAD/CAM, Ceramic-matrix composites, Coatings, Damage mechanics, Design of materials and components, Environmental effects, Metal-matrix composites, Modeling, Non-destructive evaluation, Polymer-matrix composites, Processing and manufacturing, Properties and performance, Prototyping reinforcement materials, Repair, Testing, Thermoplastic composites,Nanotechnology.
The main purpose of the Journal of Elasticity is to report original and significant discoveries in elasticity, in the form of full research papers, research notes and well-documented historical essays. Materials which will prove effective in teaching appear as classroom notes. The journal provides a forum for original contributions in the physical and mathematical science of solids and in the broader areas of mechanics, mechanics of materials, and engineering sciences that have a bearing on developments in elasticity. The Journal of Elasticity was founded in 1971 by Marvin Stippes.
Addressing the wide-ranging topic areas of energy generation, conversion and storage, the Journal disseminates technical information – peer-reviewed scholarly work, Research Papers, Technical Briefs, and feature articles – of permanent interest to the Journal’s readership. Emphasis is given to extraction of energy from subsurface natural resource, petroleum engineering, natural gas technology, fuel/waste/underground combustion, underground storage/disposal with injection wells, alternative energy sources, power (co-) generation, and (geo) thermal energy storage and conversion systems. Authors present results from R&D studies, experience with new technologies, overview analyses, and computing algorithms.
publishes research in several areas of engineering, including chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering.
Providing top-quality, peer-reviewed research papers on contemporary issues of engineering materials and technology, the journal covers a broad spectrum of issues regarding experimental, computational and theoretical studies of mechanical properties of materials, as well as mechanics of materials issues in metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, biomaterials, and nanostructured materials. Important topics include, multiscale characterization, modeling and experiments; high-temperature creep, fatigue and fracture; elastic -plastic behavior; environmental effects on material response, constitutive relations, materials processing, and microstructure mechanical property relationships.
The Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention (JFAP) is written for and read by individuals involved in failure analysis, materials scientists, and mechanical, manufacturing, aeronautical, civil, chemical, corrosion, and design engineers. The publication is unique in that it contains current news and technical articles, as well as archival peer-reviewed papers and reviews. JFAP provides information gathering techniques, technical analysis, and emerging tools that will assist failure analysis professionals in determining the cause of failures and eliminating failures in the future. Articles demonstrate the importance of failure analysis to product/performance improvements and industrial problem solving. JFAP is intended to be of interest to both the experienced and less experienced failure analysis practitioner with a focus on shared interest across the industries. Bi-monthly periodical for the failure analyst. Provides practical information for determining the cause of failures and eliminating future failures. Highlights information-gathering techniques, technical analysis and emerging tools to assist the future analyst. Peer-reviewed articles demonstrate the important of failure analysis, product/performance improvement and industrial problem solving. Written for the experienced and less experienced failure analysis practitioner.
