Founded in 2004, Cultura. International Journal of Philosophy of Culture and Axiology is a semiannual peer-reviewed journal devoted to philosophy of culture and the study of value. It aims to promote the exploration of different values and cultural phenomena in regional and international contexts.The editorial board encourages the submission of manuscripts based on original research that are judged to make a novel and important contribution to understanding the values and cultural phenomena in the contemporary world.

Cultural Dynamics seeks to publish research focused on the structured inequalities of the contemporary world, and the myriad ways people negotiate these conditions. The journal is thoroughly interdisciplinary, encompassing anthropology, sociology, philosophy, history, and any other areas that can shed light on culture, power, and politics.

Cultural Politics is a welcome and innovative addition. In an academic universe already well populated with journals, it is carving out its own unique placebroad and a bit quirky. It likes to leap between the theoretical and the concrete, so that it is never boring and often filled with illuminating glimpses into the intellectual and cultural worlds. Cultural Sociology publishes peer-reviewed, empirically oriented, theoretically sophisticated, methodologically rigorous papers, which explore from a broad set of sociological perspectives a diverse range of socio-cultural forces, phenomena, institutions and contexts. The objective of Cultural Sociology is to publish original articles which advance the field of cultural sociology and the sociology of culture.

Cultural Studies is an international journal which explores the relation between cultural practices, everyday life, material, economic, political, geographical and historical contexts. It fosters more open analytic, critical and political conversations by encouraging people to push the dialogue into fresh, uncharted territory. It also aims to intervene in the processes by which the existing techniques, institutions and structures of power are reproduced, resisted and transformed. Cultural Studies understands the term 'culture' inclusively rather than exclusively, and publishes essays which encourage significant intellectual and political experimentation, intervention and dialogue. Special issues focus on specific topics, often not traditionally associated with cultural studies, and occasional issues present a body of work from a particular national, ethnic or special tradition. The journal represents the truly international and interdisciplinary nature of contemporary work in cultural studies, and since its inception in 1987, has reflected the discipline in becoming ever more global in scope and perspective(s). Cultural Studies welcomes work covering a range of topics and styles, and invites articles, reviews, critiques, photographs and other forms of 'cultural' and 'intellectual' production. Celebrating 20 years of Cultural Studies with Routledge in 2006 I was first introduced to cultural studies about thirty-five years ago, when no one quite knew what it was. It was a project. It had its enemies, on the left, and in the disciplines. Maybe not that much has changed. After all, cultural studies is still almost impossible to define, especially given the enormous diversity of work that is carried on in its name. And it has even more enemies--on the left and in the disciplines, and now we can always add various conservative fractions. Yet, everything has changed. By many quantitative measures, cultural studies has become a success--it has a real presence in the academy and in publications. Its audiences and outlets have exploded. When Cultural Studies first began publishing over twenty years ago, there were no other outlets. Now there are more than anyone can keep up with. More importantly, cultural studies as a transdisciplinary formation and practice has transformed many of our most basic disciplinary and political practices and assumptions. And despite the many misappropriations and misrepresentations of cultural studies, I now understand that it is precisely as a project--a radically contextual practice of the articulation of knowledge and power-- that cultural studies will continue to challenge dominant intellectual and political practices, and to look to the possibilities of the future. As the world speeds into a increasingly precarious and inhumane future, I still believe, as I did thirty five years ago, that cultural studies has something to contribute to making another future possible. Cultural Studies of Science Education is a peer reviewed journal that provides an interactive platform for researchers working in the multidisciplinary fields of cultural studies and science education. By taking a cultural approach and paying attention to theories from cultural studies, this new journal reflects the current diversity in the study of science education in a variety of contexts, including schools, museums, zoos, laboratories, parks and gardens, aquariums and community development, maintenance and restoration.

Culture & Psychology is a leading international peer reviewed journal of scholarly contributions, integrating various aspects of the general notion of culture with scientific psychology. Culture & Psychology addresses the centrality of culture necessary for a basic understanding of the psychology of human beings: their identity, social conduct, intra- and intersubjective experiences, emotions and semiotic creativity.

Culture and Organization features refereed articles that offer innovative insights and provoke discussion. Culture and Religion is an interdisciplinary journal seeking an engagement between scholars working across a range of disciplinary fields, including anthropology, cultural studies, critical theory and gender studies, and postcolonial studies. Lying at the interface between the study of religion and other academic studies of culture, Culture and Religion is a forum for exploring the perspectives of both anthropology and cultural studies. In particular, the journal will consider why cultural studies have hitherto neglected the significance of religious manifestations in cross-cultural perspectives, and define ways in which the discipline of religious studies needs to engage with other areas of contemporary critical, cultural, and anthropological theory. Mitchell, Antony Gormley annd Norman MacLeod Culture, Theory and Critique is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal for the transformation and development of critical theories in the humanities and social sciences. It aims to critique and reconstruct theories by interfacing them with one another and by relocating them in new sites and conjunctures. Culture, Theory and Critique' approach to theoretical refinement and innovation is one of interaction and hybridisation via recontextualisation and transculturation. The reconceptualisation of critical theories is achieved by: * assessing how well theories emerging from particular spatial, cultural, geographical and historical contexts travel and translate into new conjunctures. * confronting theories with their limitations or aporias through immanent critique. * applying theories to cultural, literary, social and political phenomena in order to test them against their respective fields of concern and to generate critical feedback. * interfacing theories from different intellectual, disciplinary and institutional settings. Given its interdisciplinary character, Culture, Theory and Critique will appeal to anyone working at the interface between disciplines such as gender studies, cultural studies, critical geography, historiography, literary theory and criticism, film studies, philosophy, postcolonialism, social and political theory and visual culture. Culture, Theory and Critique is an intercultural journal whose success depends on contributions from a variety of sources, so that debate between different perspectives can be stimulated. One of the aims of the journal is to break down theoretical hierarchies and latent intellectual hegemonies, which can be achieved only if voices from places other than Anglophone centres are heard. Debatte: Journal of Contemporary Central and Eastern Europe seeks to provide a radical critical analysis that is sympathetic to democratic, labour, feminist and ecologist movements from contemporary economic, social, cultural and political perspectives and developments in the region bounded by Germany in the west and Russia in the east. We are particularly interested in all writing on the social, cultural, and political life of Germany and Eastern Europe which connects the specific problems of the region with the wider issues of world order, globalisation, and inequality.We are looking to combine political commitment, academic rigour, contemporary relevance, stylistic accessibility, and journalistic flair in order to create the kind of publication that straddles the boundaries between academia and social/political debate; addressing itself equally to specialist scholars in the field of Central European Studies, political activists, journalists, teachers, and other interested readers. Debatte, welcomes a variety of submissions from the social sciences, historical and cultural studies; all innovative and original analyses of any aspect of the region falling within the purview of the journal will be considered. Der Islam was founded in 1910 by Carl Heinrich Becker, whose scholarly career was devoted to the establishment of Islamic Studies as a mature scientific field dedicated to historical and cultural research, independent of the then-prevailing field of Oriental philology. The journal he established seeks to pursue similar goals by providing a critical scientific forum for the presentation of research pertaining to the history and culture of the Islamic world in both pre-modern and modern times. Der Islam encourages the exchange of ideas from all scholarly perspectives and is not committed to any particular methodological or ideological viewpoint. Papers will be accepted in German, English, and French.
