Since its inception in 1970 the Journal of Arabic Literature has provided an international scholarly forum for the discussion of Arabic literature and has secured its position at the forefront of critical and methodological debate. The journal publishes literary, critical and historical studies, as well as review and bibliographies, on a broad range of Arabic materials n~ classical and modern, written and oral, poetry and prose, literary and colloquial. Studies that seek to integrate Arabic literature into the broader discourses of the humanities and social sciences take their place alongside technical work of a more specialized nature. The journal thus addresses itself to a readership in comparative literature and literary theory and method, in addition to specialists in Arabic and Middle Eastern literatures and Middle East studies generally.

Jahrbuch für Regionalwissenschaft is a publication of the German-speaking section of the Regional Science Association International, Gesellschaft für Regionalforschung. Since its inception in 1980 the journal's central aim has been to publish high quality papers providing new and substantial contributions to theoretical as well as empirical issues in regional science. Submitted manuscripts are subject to a mutually anonymous referee-process. The journal is interdisciplinarily orientated with its scientific scope including in particular economics, geography, sociology, spatial and urban planning, population science, resource management as well as communication and transportation. The International Journal of Finance and Economics aims to publish articles of high quality dealing with issues in international finance which impact on national and global economies. Review of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Studies is a scientific peer-reviewed journal encouraging new perspectives for research and analysis in economics and sociology on the topics of production, agricultural markets and trade, agricultural and food industry production, food consumption, the environment and natural resources, and rural areas and land use.
