The purpose of the refereeing process is to ensure that articles provide relevant and accurate material for those who do and use research, including: researchers, academics, agricultural education and extension managers, trainers and experts, communication professionals, human resources specialists, and policy makers.

The International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection (IJCIP) was launched in 2008, with the primary aim of publishing scholarly papers of the highest quality in all areas of critical infrastructure protection. Of particular interest are articles that weave science, technology, law and policy to craft sophisticated yet practical solutions for securing assets in the various critical infrastructure sectors. These critical infrastructure sectors include: information technology, telecommunications, energy, banking and finance, transportation systems, chemicals, critical manufacturing, agriculture and food, defense industrial base, public health and health care, national monuments and icons, drinking water and water treatment systems, commercial facilities, dams, emergency services, nuclear reactors, materials and waste, postal and shipping, and government facilities. Established in 1974, the Zeitschrift für Historische Forschung is the only German-language journal that concentrates on the epochs of the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Age. This concept is based on the idea of thematising the history of the European Pre-Modern Period from the High Middle Ages to the Reformation and up to the revolutionary Saddle Period around 1800 as a structural unit. In a methodical and factual sense, the ZHF illustrates the diversity of German-language historical scholarship. The Chinese Journal of Communication (CJoC) is a scholarly publication aimed at elevating Chinese communication studies along theoretical, empirical, and methodological dimensions, while contributing to the understanding of media, information, and communication phenomena around the world. This fully refereed journal is an important international platform for students and scholars in Chinese communication studies to exchange ideas and research results, both with each other and globally. Interdisciplinary in scope, it examines subjects in all Chinese societies in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, and the global Chinese diaspora, which, in total, account for a quarter of humanity. The CJoC welcomes scholarly works using social scientific or humanistic approaches on such topics as mass communication, journalism studies, telecommunications, rhetoric, cultural studies, media effects, new communication technologies, organizational communication, interpersonal communication, advertising and public relations, political communication, communications law and policy, and so on. Articles employing historical and comparative analysis focused on traditional Chinese culture as well as contemporary processes such as globalization, deregulation, and democratization are also welcome.
