Akadémiai Kiadó, founded in 1828 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, is Hungary’s oldest continuously operating publishing house. BUILDING RESEARCH & INFORMATION (BRI) is a leading international refereed journal focussed on buildings and their supporting systems. Unique to BRI is a focus on a holistic, transdisciplinary approach to buildings and the complexity of issues involving the built environment with other systems over the course of their life: planning, briefing, design, construction, occupation and use, property exchange and evaluation, maintenance, alteration and end of life. Published articles provide conceptual and evidence-based approaches which reflect the complexity and linkages between cultural, environmental, economic, social, organisational, quality of life, health, well-being, design and engineering of the built environment.

Cognitive Computation is an international, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that publishes cutting-edge articles describing original basic and applied work involving bio-inspired computational accounts of all aspects of natural and artificial cognitive systems. It provides a new platform for the dissemination of research, current practices and future trends in the emerging discipline of cognitive computation that bridges gap between life sciences, social sciences, engineering, physical and mathematical sciences, and humanities.

The journal also publishes work on the politics of other states where such work is of interest for comparative politics generally or where it enables comparisons to be made with Commonwealth countries.

Computational & Applied Mathematics began to be published in 1981. This journal was conceived as the main scientific publication of SBMAC (Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics).   The objective of the journal is the publication of original research in Applied and Computational Mathematics, with interfaces in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Operations Research, Statistics, Social Sciences and Economy. The journal has the usual quality standards of scientific international journals and we aim high level of contributions in terms of originality, depth and relevance. CAM is currently reviewed in Mathematical Reviews and Institute of Scientific Information (Webofscience).  

Epidemiology and Infection publishes original reports and reviews on all aspects of infection in humans and animals. Particular emphasis is given to the epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious diseases. The scope includes the zoonoses, tropical infections, food hygiene, vaccine studies, statistics and the clinical, social and public-health aspects of infectious disease. It has become the key international periodical in which to find the latest reports on recently discovered infections and new technology. For those concerned with policy and planning for the control of infections, the papers on mathematical modelling of epidemics caused by historical, current and emergent infections will be of particular value.

As an academic journal HTS disseminates the results of the theological research of national and international scholars. It has a wide multi-disciplinary scope and supports theologians, philosophers, scholars, ministers of religion and specialists in religious, social and economically related subjects by providing them with research results. The journal covers theology in it broadest sense and therefore publishes articles linked with a variety of other study fields, has a multi-disciplinary, multi-church, inter-faith, and multi-religious focus and scope. Articles cover, among others, aspects of religious studies, philosophy, ancient Semitic and classical languages, sociology and ethics. HTS Teologiese Studies /Theological Studies is committed to the capacity building of young scholars.

Humanities (ISSN 2076-0787) is an international, peer-reviewed, quick-refereeing scholarly open access journal (free for readers). The central concern of this journal pertains to the core values of the Humanities, i.e., focusing on the ideals of human existence, seen through many different lenses. What makes life valuable, livable, meaningful? How can we understand human existence in its historical, artistic, spiritual, linguistic, communicative, environmental, political, and social dimensions? Both historical and modern perspectives are welcome, as well as interdisciplinary approaches. Our aim is to encourage researchers to publish their innovative ideas and results in as much detail as possible, therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers. To guarantee a rapid refereeing and editorial process, Humanities follows standard publication practices in the natural sciences.
