School Effectiveness and School Improvement presents information on educational effectiveness, practice and policy-making across primary, secondary and higher education. The Editors believe that the educational progress of all students, regardless of family background and economic status, is the key indicator of effectiveness and improvement in schools. We welcome articles on translational research that may impact directly on clinical and public health practice in developing countries and those describing the application of new technologies in tropical medicine. Non-communicable diseases are of increasing importance in developing countries and we are keen to receive high quality papers in this field. We will invite regular reviews on important, topical or neglected topics and welcome updates on progress with major global partnership programmes. We will also publish peer-reviewed supplements from leading groups of experts. These supplements provide an opportunity for an in-depth review of available knowledge within a particular field and we are particulary suited to the detailed review of field trials of new vaccines and therapies or the progress of major disease control programmes. We publish articles from Fellows of the Society and non-Fellows alike and will continue to fulfil an important role as a vehicle for publication of original scientific papers presented at Society meetings. We also wish to encourage debate through letters to the Editor.

Comparative Sociology is an international scholarly journal, published in six issues per year, dedicated to advancing comparative sociological analyses of societies and cultures, institutions and organizations, groups and collectivities, networks and interactions. All submissions for articles are peer-reviewed double-blind. The journal publishes book reviews and theoretical presentations, conceptual analyses and empirical findings at all levels of comparative sociological analysis, from global and cultural to ethnographic and interactionist. Submissions are welcome not only from sociologists but also political scientists, legal scholars, economists, anthropologists and others. Computational Management Science is an international journal focusing on all computational aspects of management science. These include theoretical and empirical analysis of computational models: computational statistics: analysis and applications of constrained, unconstrained, robust, stochastic and combinatorial optimisation algorithms: dynamic models, such as dynamic programming and decision trees: new search tools and algorithms for global optimisation, modelling, learning and forecasting: models and tools of knowledge acquisition.
