This journal publishes results of the latest research in the areas of modern general algebra and of logic considered primarily from an algebraic viewpoint. The algebraic papers, constituting the major part of the contents, are concerned with studies in such fields as ordered, almost torsion-free, nilpotent, and metabelian groups; isomorphism rings; Lie algebras; Frattini subgroups; and clusters of algebras. In the area of logic, the periodical covers such topics as hierarchical sets, logical automata, and recursive functions. Algebra and Logic is a translation of the peer-reviewed journal Algebra I Logika, a publication of the Siberian Fund for Algebra and Logic and the Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This journal provides complete coverage of the diagnostic and prognostic applications of immunohistochemistry (IHC), its contributions to the understanding of the biology of tumors and other lesions, and the technical aspects of setting up a laboratory and interpreting results. Each issue features original, peer-reviewed articles, discussions of difficult diagnostic cases, rapidly published notes on new or improved technologies, and a technical question-and-answer section. Comprehensive review articles discuss different classes of antibodies and markers and aspects of the basic science of IHC. Superb full-color illustrations are included in each issue. Applied Mathematics promotes the integration of mathematics with other scientific disciplines, expanding its fields of study and promoting the development of relevant interdisciplinary subjects. The journal mainly publishes original research papers that apply mathematical concepts, theories and methods to other subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, information science, energy, environmental science, economics, and finance. In addition, it also reports the latest developments and trends in which mathematics interacts with other disciplines. Readers include professors and students, professionals in applied mathematics, and engineers at research institutes and in industry. Applied Mathematics - A Journal of Chinese Universities has been an English-language quarterly since 1993. The English edition, abbreviated as Series B, has different contents than this Chinese edition, Series A.
Archives of Microbiology publishes papers on all areas of basic research in microbiology.Research papers must make a significant and original contribution tomicrobiology and be of interest to a broad readership. The results of anyexperimental approach that meets these objectives are welcome, particularlybiochemical, molecular genetic, physiological, and/or physical investigations intomicrobial cells and their interactions with their environments, including their eukaryotic hosts.Mini-reviews in areas of special topical interest and papers on medical microbiology, ecology and systematics, including description of novel taxa, are also published.Theoretical papers and those that report analysis of 'mining' of data areacceptable in principle if new information, interpretation, or hypothesesemerge. 5-Year Impact Factor: 2.125 (2008)*

Asia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology is a multidisciplinary journal of oncology that aims to be a forum for facilitating collaboration and exchanging information on what is happening in different countries of the Asia-Pacific region in relation to cancer treatment and care. The Journal is ideally positioned to receive publications that deal with diversity in cancer behavior, management and outcome related to ethnic, cultural, economic and other differences between populations. In addition to original articles, the Journal publishes reviews, editorials, letters to the Editor and short communications. Case reports are generally not considered for publication, only exceptional papers in which Editors find extraordinary oncological value may be considered for review. The Journal encourages clinical studies, particularly prospectively designed clinical trials.
Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering (BBE) is the official journal of the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The journal was founded in 1981. One volume, composed of four issues, is published annually. The following types of contributions connected with biocybernetics and biomedical engineering can be accepted for publication: original research works, reviews (if ordered by BBE), short communications and letters. A special attention is focused on the following fields: biosystems, biomeasurements, artificial organs, biomaterials, biomechanics, medical information systems, neuronal nets etc. Any researcher can have a paper published in the journal. The only criterion for the acceptance of the submitted paper is its scientific value confirmed by the reviewers.
The Bulletin of the History of Archaeology (BHA) was inaugurated over 20 years ago as a forum to exchange research, information on on-going projects, and resources devoted to a growing interest in the histories of archaeology. As this interest has grown, BHA has become global in reach, and has taken an increasingly expansive definition of its subject matter and its place within wider historical contexts. To this end, the journal publishes research not only on the histories of archaeology strictly defined, but also on the subject as it intersects with related histories like those of collecting, colonialism, exploration, fieldwork, heritage, and museums. At the same time, BHA is particularly focused on building interdisciplinary collaborations, and publishes work that takes its methodological cues from fields including anthropology and historical anthropology, archaeology, art history, colonial and postcolonial studies, gender studies, global history, and the history, philosophy, and sociology of science.
Published since 1901 (under various titles), this monthly journal is the primary publishing vehicle for the multidisciplinary field of aquatic sciences. It publishes perspectives (syntheses, critiques, and re-evaluations), discussions (comments and replies), articles, and rapid communications, relating to current research on cells, organisms, populations, ecosystems, or processes that affect aquatic systems. The journal seeks to amplify, modify, question, or redirect accumulated knowledge in the field of fisheries and aquatic science. For primary biodiversity data authors are strongly encouraged to place all species distribution records in a publicly accessible database such as the national Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) nodes (www.gbif.org) or data centres endorsed by GBIF, including BioFresh (www2.freshwaterbiodiversity.eu) for freshwater data.
