The Geographical Journal has been the academic journal of the Royal Geographical Society, under the terms of the Royal Charter, since 1893. It publishes original research papers and review articles, all of which are refereed. Editorial policy is not influenced by the views of the sponsors. The papers range across the entire subject of Geography, with particular reference to public debates, policy-orientated agendas and notions of ‘relevance’. Particular emphasis is placed on:* Publishing articles that make a major theoretical, conceptual and/or empirical intervention to the advancement of both geography and ideas pertaining to ‘public relevance’* Stimulating and shaping future public and policy-orientated agendas across human and physical geography* Publishing a range of articles, editorial interventions and other forms of commentaries, which investigate why problems, issues and solutions are posed in particular ways* Evaluating the manner in which geographical knowledge is used to influence and underpin local, national and global policies* Attracting articles and other contributions that communicate ‘cutting-edge’ research in an accessible manner.The GJ also carries book reviews and longer comparative reviews of books and other public sources that focus on the public debates, policy-orientated agendas and critical assessments of ‘relevance’.

World Futures: The Journal of General Evolution is dedicated to the study of irreversible, nonlinear, system-structuring -that is evolutionary -change in nature and society. The journal accepts articles, research notes and book reviews and invites leading essays in all fields of scientific interest. The Journal's aim is to: promote the transfer of evolutionary models, theories and approaches within and among the natural and the social sciences; encourage the development of evolutionary models, theories and approaches in the fields that lack them; contribute to the unity of the sciences through the advancement of studies, theories, and research methods of multi-and trans-disciplinary scope and application and explore the application of evolutionary models, theories, and the approaches to concrete and urgent problems of human and social interest. Special Issues, entrusted to guest editors, focus on particular problems, themes or topics of current theoretical or practical relevance, specified in consultation with the Editor. The Journal of Threatened Taxa (JoTT) is a monthly (aiming to be more frequent), online, open access, free access, peer-reviewed journal on wildlife, conservation, taxonomy, ecology and all aspects contributing to the science and action thereof. The objective of JoTT is to publish timely, articles of importance for promoting conservation and encouraging wildlife studies in the biodiversity-rich countries of the world. The lag time after final acceptance of manuscripts from January 2009 will be two months or less depending on the completeness (in content and format) of submissions by authors and timely returns of the galley proofs.JoTT is not restricted to taxa (phyla, groups, families, orders, species, subspecies, varieties, forms or populations) that are threatened with extinction as defined by the IUCN Red List. The term “threatened” is used broadly to include all forms of taxa and their ecosystems, with the premise that the natural world today is threatened and therefore its taxa. Taxa could be threatened in several different ways and not only in their status in the wild. Lack of knowledge about a species or subspecies or a population is a threat as priorities could be compromised due to deficiency in data. Taxa scientifically described for the first time are under threat from data deficiency in their distribution, status, ecological needs, etc. Any taxon could be under threat in a location due to the changes in habitat or quality. Ecological changes, changes in land use, socio-economic changes, human influenced changes, alien introduced species, wrong reintroduction practices, new emerging diseases, social and political unrest, improperly planned national and international wildlife and conservation legislations, constant changes in taxonomy, global climate change, and other factors that keep our environment and ecosystems in a constant flux can have widespread or localized impacts on taxa. In some instances even the so-called “Least Concern” species could be impacted locally or widely due to the above factors.The Journal of Threatened Taxa is global in its coverage and is a direct progression from eight years of experience with Zoos’ Print Journal (ZPJ), whose coverage was South Asia. The objectives of JoTT are very similar to that of ZPJ with respect to the subject areas covered. Once manuscripts are reviewed and finally accepted and the authors have submitted all relevant files, attachments and documents, including the final galley proof, publication lag time will be kept to a maximum of two months.The categories of articles published in JoTT include Papers, Communications, Reviews, Notes, Opinions, Book Reviews and Comments. Footwear Science publishes reports of original research in the disciplines of biomechanics, ergonomics, physiology, clinical science, kinanthropometry, physics, engineering and mathematics. The use of footwear or footwear components, or application of the results to footwear is a major component of the research published in this international, peer-reviewed Journal. Methodological as well as experimental papers may be submitted, and the journal accepts original articles, reviews and perspective articles (usually by editorial invitation only), book reviews and letters to the Editor. The criteria for acceptance of manuscripts include: scientific excellence and rigor, novelty, significance, clarity, conciseness and interest to our broad readership. Papers published in the journal may cover a wide range of topics within the broad scope of footwear science, including, but not limited to: * Influence of footwear on kinematics and kinetics of human movement * Influence of footwear and footwear design on human performance * Applications of research to design of all types of functional and purpose-built footwear * Research applied to casual, dress, fashion, duty, athletic, and specialty footwear * Footwear in prevention and treatment of diseases of lower extremity * Role of footwear in the prevention and treatment of athletic injury * Shoe properties and human perceptions * Human factors applied to fit and function of footwear * Measurement of footwear biomechanical and physical properties Review Articles Footwear Science accepts submission of manuscripts that review the literature on a particular topic and present an analysis of the current status of that topic. These are not original research articles with new data but represent well-balanced summaries of timely subjects, with reference to the literature. Review articles are usually invited by the Editor-in-Chief, although they can be submitted unsolicited. All review articles, even if invited, are peer reviewed. To help to facilitate this process it is suggested that the author of the review contact the Editor-in-Chief in advance of submission to discuss the proposed topic. The required format for review articles is similar to that used for research articles, with the exception that headings such as 'Methodolgy,' 'Results and Discussion,' and 'Conclusions' should be replaced with more appropriate headings, consistent with the contents of the article. Review articles published by Footwear Science are intended primarily for informed scientists who works in the broad disciplines that encompass footwear science, for example: biomechanics, ergonomics, physiology, clinical science, kinanthropometry, physics, engineering, materials science, and mathematics.. Manuscripts should both present a summary and a critical evaluation of significant investigations and provide suggestions for further research. We also welcome reviews that discuss recent technical or theoretical advances, topics of unusual interest, or, core questions about the foundations of footwear science. Theoretical papers should clearly identify the focus of study, review the relevant literature, and develop approaches to new levels of understanding. We are always looking for a balanced approach in Footwear Science review articles. Whenever possible the author should include all relevant literature showing the broadest possible basis for the review and the author's perspectives. Although the main thrust of reviews should be to summarize what is known about a particular topic area based on a rigorous review of the scientific literature, we expect that review authors may wish to offer some opinion and give a perspective, or, perhaps even speculate, if such speculation has a basis in scientific evidence. An abstract of 200 to 250 words is required; for more information on format, see instructions for authors. We have no limit on the length of review articles, however, we are always looking for concise and lucid treatments of the topic under review. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.

Estudios de Psicología publishes articles of empirical research, methodological innovation, and theoretical debate in the frontier of psychological knowledge. Among others, examples of articles in the frontier of psychology are those that allow for a new understanding of a psychological phenomenon, that soundly and originally criticize a mainstream theory, that defy the discipline’s commonly accepted knowledge, that propose original experimental paradigms, different to those widely accepted by the academic community of the normal science… Its main goal is thus to provide a dialogue forum both between psychological sub-disciplines, and between psychology and other related disciplines.

In order to foster approaches that delve deep into psychology's most relevant trends and developments, as of 2014 Estudios de Psicología will only accept manuscripts whose content and approach follows the guidelines indicated in the journal’s current calls for monographic issues, regardless of whether these calls have been issued by the journal Editor or by Invited Editors who have submitted a monographic proposal according to the journal’s Instructions For Authors.

Estudios de Psicología will be of interest to researchers and graduate students working in psychology and related disciplines, and psychologists working in both applied fields and academia.

Estudios de Psicología publica artículos de investigación empírica, innovación metodológica y debate teórico en la frontera del conocimiento psicológico. Entre otros, se pueden considerar ejemplos de artículos en la frontera de la psicología aquellos que permitan comprender de manera novedosa un fenómeno psicológico, que critiquen alguna teoría de corriente principal de manera fundada y original, que desafíen el conocimiento común de la disciplina, que propongan paradigmas experimentales originales, diferentes de los aceptados por la comunidad de académicos de la ciencia normal... The English Academy Review: Southern African Journal of English Studies (EAR) is the journal of the English Academy of Southern Africa. In line with the Academy's vision of promoting effective English as a vital resource and of respecting Africa's diverse linguistic ecology, it welcomes submissions on language as well as educational, philosophical and literary topics from Southern Africa and across the globe. Culture and Religion is an interdisciplinary journal seeking an engagement between scholars working across a range of disciplinary fields, including anthropology, cultural studies, critical theory and gender studies, and postcolonial studies. Letters in Spatial and Resource Sciences (LSRS) publishes high-quality, shorter papers on new theoretical or empirical results, models and methods in social sciences that contain a spatial dimension. It especially solicits manuscripts from regional science, regional and urban economics, geography, environmental and resource economics, demography, agricultural economics, GIS and spatial econometrics and planning. Examples of suitable contributions would be new formal derivations of theoretical or methodological results, new empirical findings, replications of empirical studies using new methodological approaches, short communications on new algorithms, evaluations of spatial econometric methods and meta-analyses. As a Letters Journal, it consists of concise communications (under 10 pages in length) that provide a means of rapid and efficient dissemination. It allows readers to determine their potential interest in a letter and to digest a large amount of information rapidly. Papers exceeding 10 pages in length will be considered for publication only if, in the opinion of an Editor-in-Chief, the additional length is justified by the nature of the question being studied and/or the quality of the analysis that is undertaken.
