Aims and Scope:Metabolic Engineering (MBE) is devoted to the publication of original research papers on the directed modulation of metabolic pathways for metabolite over production or the improvement of cellular properties. Papers describing native pathway engineering and synthesis of heterologous pathways for converting microorganisms into microbial cell factories are also welcome.Experimental, computational, and modelling approaches for the elucidation of metabolic pathways and their manipulation by genetic, media, or other environmental means are presented. Efficient probing of metabolic pathways requires the application of appropriate methods from molecular biology and biochemistry, along with modeling and data analysis techniques from engineering. MBE provides a forum for communicating such interdisciplinary research, as well as relevant results in the constituent areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, applied microbiology, cellular physiology, cellular nutrition in health and disease, and biochemical engineering.Types of papers:Original Research Papers, Review Papers.

Metallomics publishes original research and topical reviews which provide insight into the role of metals, metalloids and trace elements in the biosciences with an emphasis on a global approach. Example topics in the biosciences include, but are not restricted to the following: Structure and function of metals in biomolecules; Mechanisms of metals, metalloids and trace elements in health and disease; Genetic, epigenetic, and molecular regulation of the uptake, accumulation and metabolism of metals, metalloids and trace elements; Toxicological and nutritional interactions of metals, metalloids and trace elements; Elemental cycles between the biosphere and geosphere; Interactions among nanoparticles, metals and metal-containing biomolecules in biological systems; Elemental speciation and biodistribution (kinetics, flux, dynamics); Novel analytical approaches to global metal, metalloid and trace element characterization in biological systems and Bioimaging and localization of metals, metalloids and trace elements in cells, organelles and systems.

Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry: An International Journal for Chemical Biology in Health and Disease publishes original research papers and short communications in all areas of the biochemical sciences, emphasizing novel findings relevant to the biochemical basis of cellular function and disease processes, as well as the mechanics of action of hormones and chemical agents. Coverage includes membrane transport, receptor mechanism, immune response, secretory processes, and cytoskeletal function, as well as biochemical structure-function relationships in the cell. In addition to the reports of original research, the journal publishes state of the art reviews. Specific subjects covered by Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry include cellular metabolism, cellular pathophysiology, enzymology, ion transport, lipid biochemistry, membrane biochemistry, molecular biology, nuclear structure and function, and protein chemistry.

Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience publishes original research of exceptional significance from those areas of the neurosciences indicated by the broadest interpretation of the journal's title. In particular, the journal focuses on synaptic maintenance and organization, neuron-glia communication and regenerative neurobiology. Molecular Imaging and Biology presents original research contributions on the utilization of molecular imaging in problems of relevance in biology and medicine. The primary objective of the journal is to provide a forum for the discovery of molecular mechanisms of health and disease through the use of imaging techniques. The Food Science and Biotechnology (Food Sci. Biotechnol.; FSB), an international journal published bimonthly by the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST), provides results of original research on the physical, chemical, biological, and health aspects of food science and technology, and a review related to food science and biotechnology.
