The Indo-Iranian Journal, founded in 1957, focuses on the ancient and medieval languages and cultures of South Asia and of pre-islamic Iran. It publishes articles on Indo-Iranian languages (linguistics and literatures), such as Sanskrit, Avestan, Middle Iranian and Middle & New Indo-Aryan. It publishes specialized research on ancient Iranian religion and the Indian religions, such as the Veda, Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism (including Tibetan). The journal welcomes epigraphical studies as well as general contributions to the understanding of the (pre-modern) history and culture of South Asia. Illustrations are accepted. A substantial part of Indo-Iranian Journal is reserved for reviews of new research. Twice a year it contains a detailed bibliography of all publications received. The Journal predominantly publishes articles in English and occasionaly in French and German.

The Internal Medicine Journal, formerly known as the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Medicine, is the official journal of the Adult Medicine Division of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). Its purpose is to publish high-quality internationally competitive peer-reviewed original medical research, both laboratory and clinical, relating to the study and research of human disease. Papers will be considered from all areas of medical practice and science. The Journal also has a major role in continuing medical education and publishes review articles relevant to physician education. Except where otherwise stated, articles are peer reviewed.

The Journal publishes original research papers, review articles and short communications on studies examining the interactions between living organisms and factors of the natural and artificial atmospheric environment. Living organisms extend from single cell organisms, to plants and animals, including humans. The atmospheric environment includes climate and weather, electromagnetic radiation, and chemical and biological pollutants. The journal embraces basic and applied research and practical aspects such as living conditions, agriculture, forestry, and health. The journal is published for the International Society of Biometeorology, and most membership categories include a subscription to the Journal.

IJEP publishes outstanding basic science and clinical papers on all aspects of epilepsy. It is directed at neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychiatrists, neuroradiologists, and pediatric epitologists involved in the research and treatment of a broad range of neurological disorders. The journal accepts original and review articles, case reports, journal scans and latest updates in the field of clinical neurology, neurosurgery, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuroimaging, epilepsy therapeutics, and historical aspect of epilepsy in Ayurveda, unani, and homeopathy.

The International Journal of Language & Communication Disorders (IJLCD) is the official journal of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. The Journal welcomes submissions on all aspects of speech, language, communication disorders and speech and language therapy. It provides a forum for the exchange of information and discussion of issues of clinical or theoretical relevance in the above areas. The Journal, established in 1966, publishes a range of articles, including research reports, reviews, discussions and clinical fora, as well as editorials or commentaries commissioned by the editors. Research reports from both quantitative and qualitative frameworks are encouraged but must have appropriate and clear methodology and thoroughly analysed and interpreted results.

The Journal of Geodesy is an international journal concerned with the study of scientific problems of geodesy and related interdisciplinary sciences. It presents peer-reviewed papers on theoretical or modeling studies, and on results of experiments and interpretations. In addition to original research papers, the journal publishes commissioned review papers on topical subjects and special issues arising from chosen scientific symposia or workshops. The Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry is an established cell biology journal that includes primary research articles, timely reviews, editorials and perspectives on the structure and function of cells, tissues and organs. This includes research into mechanisms of development, differentiation, and disease. High priority is given to submissions where imaging techniques are complemented by current genetic, molecular, and biochemical approaches. The Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry welcomes concise review articles, especially those that address key issues in methodology. The journal continues to publish new developments in microscopy and imaging. Purely descriptive studies of gene or molecular expression also will be considered, particularly where supported by experimental data to generate mechanistic insights into cell or tissue function.

Oikos is a journal issued by the Nordic Ecological Society and is one of the leading peer-reviewed journals in ecology. Oikos publishes original and innovative research on all aspects of ecology. Emphasis is on theoretical and empirical work aimed at generalization and synthesis across taxa, systems and ecological disciplines. Papers should be well founded in ecological theory and contribute to new developments in ecology by reporting novel theory or critical experimental results. Confirming or extending the established literature is given less priority. Synthesis of new and emerging fields in ecology and beyond is encouraged. Papers of review character should strive for conceptual unification and being a point of departure for future work rather than restrospective summaries of established fields or topics. Papers in Brevia, Horizons and Forum sections are given high priority in the publication process. Oikos Sections Research papers - Research papers report original research in all fields of ecology and should aim at a readership from a wide range of ecological disciplines. Research papers' manuscripts should have a maximum of 50 references. Forum - Forum is the section in Oikos where syntheses and reviews are published. The format can be short notes or more substantial reviews aimed at bringing fields together, to transgress existing boundaries and to syntesize larger fields or seemingly disparate areas, and to offer new ways of interpreting existing data. Forum articles should strive for conceptual unification and being a point of departure for future work rather than just summarizing existing bodies of theory and data. It is an arena for challenging current thinking on ecological issues by revising established concepts and received knowledge through critical experiments or new theory so that new ground can be broken. Horizons - Horizons papers are short (maximum two printed pages) essays on the past and the future of ecological research, an exploration of new territories of ecology by a more speculative, yet scientifically sound, reasoning on topics that also may be more peripheral to traditional ecological thinking. Manuscripts are judged strongly on their novelty and originality.The Horizons section invites authors to look ahead, to go beyond the contemporary and mainstream and serves as an arena for informed reflections and outlooks within or outside the field of ecology. It is aimed at capturing emerging ideas and concepts by using existing knowledge and insights as a springboard for pointing in new directions and for breaking new grounds. Horizon articles may be solicited but are always sent out for review before possible publication. Brevia - Brevia offers the possibility to comment on and discuss papers published in Oikos. Brevia articles should be brief, succcinct and to the point and should broaden and widen the scope of published ccontributions, or debate controversial findings. It is open for discussions on fundamental issues in ecology or the way the science of ecology is done. Manuscripts should rarely be longer than approximately 5 pages with a very brief (maximum 200 words) opening summary and with a reference list in the standard Oikos format. Oikos does not publish book reviews. Oikos is published in cooperation with the journals Ecography, Lindbergia, J. Avian Biology, the internet journal Web Ecology and the monograph series Ecological Bulletins. Manuscripts may be transferred between these journals according to profile.

Purpose and scope:The mission of the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) is to foster communication and collaboration among individuals and organizations associated with animal science research, education, industry, or administration. ±To discover, disseminate and apply knowledge for sustainable use of animals for food and other human needs.± The Journal of Animal Science, which is published monthly by ASAS, accepts manuscripts presenting information for publication with this mission in mind. Articles published in JAS encompass a broad range of research topics in animal production and fundamental aspects of genetics, nutrition, physiology, and preparation and utilization of animal products. Articles typically report research with beef cattle, companion animals, goats, horses, pigs, and sheep; however, studies involving other farm animals, aquatic and wildlife species, and laboratory animal species that address fundamental questions related to livestock and companion animal biology will be considered for publication. Journal of Breath Research is dedicated to all aspects of scientific breath research. The traditional focus is on analysis of volatile compounds and aerosols in exhaled breath for the investigation of exogenous exposures, metabolism, toxicology, health status and the diagnosis of disease and breath odours. Journal of Breath Research provides a forum for the presentation and critical evaluation of the different analytical techniques used for analysis of breath samples for medical diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring. These include gas-chromatography with mass-spectrometric detection (GCMS), selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry (SIFT-MS), proton-transfer reaction mass spectrometry (PTR-MS), ion mobility spectroscopy (IMS), laser spectrometry and sensor technology. Appropriate sampling procedures for breath and the interpretation of results from the clinical and physiological viewpoints will be a particular focus.

The journal’s scope includes systems at all scales8212;from molecules, pathways, cells, and tissues to whole organisms, populations, and ecosystems8212;and a diversity of traditional disciplines, including but not limited to microbiology, cancer, immunology, plant biology, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, translational medicine, digital healthcare, biological engineering, and systems and synthetic biology.
