What is Energy Procedia?
Launched in February 2009, Energy Procedia is an open access publication focussing entirely on publishing high-quality conference proceedings across the energy field.

New conference proceedings are considered for publication in Energy Procedia on the basis of scope, topical relevance, international standing, as well as publishing selection criteria including assurances that papers are original, presented at the conference, subject to peer-review, and have not /are not published elsewhere in the same form. What does Energy Procedia offer authors and conferences organizers?
Energy Procedia offers a single, highly recognized platform for hosting selected conference papers that can be freely accessed by millions of researchers. Authors know where to go to keep abreast of the latest developments in their field. Proceedings normally appear online, on Science Direct, within 8 weeks of acceptance of the final manuscripts by the conference organizer/editor and are then made freely available to all users. Energy Procedia offers authors and conference organizers a fast and cost effective way to achieve maximum exposure.
Templates (both Latex and Word) are provided to assist in the publication and the final online papers will contain linked references, XML versions and DOI numbers.

Why should conference organizers choose Energy Procedia?
There is no restriction to the number of papers an Energy Procedia volume can contain. Pricing is affordable, clear and transparent. Energy Procedia offers immediate access, with papers normally online within 8 weeks of acceptance, and open access providing maximum exposure for all papers and conferences. Organizers/editors are credited on the actual volume and are responsible for the quality control, the review process, and the selection of the conference papers.
Energy Procedia does not consider single articles from individual authors.

What is the cost associated with Energy Procedia?
There is an agreed fee, based on the size of the proceedings, which includes online publication on ScienceDirect and free access after acceptance. In addition to the online version there is the possibility to purchase paper copies, CD-ROMs and USB sticks. Moreover, interactive media possibilities such as webcasts and web seminars can be purchased for extra outreach both before and after the conference.

Can Energy Procedia be sponsored?
Sponsoring possibilities can be discussed. Sponsors may include funding bodies, government agencies and/or industry. Benefits to sponsors include visibility to a worldwide scientific audience and the opportunity to communicate via a peer-reviewed platform. Benefits to authors and conference organizers are the extra exposure and potentially reduced costs of the overall conference budget.
