Genes & Genomics is an official journal of the Korean Genetics Society (http://kgenetics.or.kr/). Although it is an official publication of the Genetics Society of Korea, membership of the Society is not required for contributors. It is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing print (ISSN 1976-9571) and online version (E-ISSN 2092-9293). It covers all disciplines of genetics and genomics from prokaryotes to eukaryotes from fundamental heredity to molecular aspects. The articles can be reviews, research articles, and short communications.
The journal does not exclude the topics of plant biology, development biology, immunology, cancer, and disease biology if the experiment and subsequent analyses are viewed as genetics and genomics. The journal aims to present papers that provide conceptual advance in the relevant field. Genes, Brain and Behavior is a new journal publishing top quality research in behavioral and neural genetics in its broadest sense. Genes, Chromosomes & Cancer will offer rapid publication of original full-length research articles , perspectives , reviews , letters to the editors , as well as editorial commentaries on genetic analysis as related to the study of neoplasia. Particular emphasis will be placed on work combining molecular and cytogenetic analyses of the genomic alterations of cancer cells. While preference will be given to research using analytical approaches, descriptive studies and case reports will also be welcomed, particularly when they offer insights regarding basic biologic mechanisms or the clinical management of neoplastic disorders. G3: Genes, Genomes, Genetics provides a forum for the publication of high-quality foundational research, particularly research that generates datasets such as genome maps, single gene studies, genome-wide association and QTL studies, as well as mutant screens and advances in methods and technology. The Editorial Board of G3 believes that rapid dissemination of these data is the necessary foundation for analysis that leads to mechanistic insights.
Genetic Epidemiology is a peer-reviewed journal for discussion of research on the genetic causes of the distribution of human traits in families and populations. Emphasis is placed on the relative contribution of genetic and environmental factors to human disease as revealed by genetic, epidemiological, and biologic investigations. Incorporation of underlying biology and population genetics into conceptual models is favored. The Journal seeks original articles comprising either applied research or innovative statistical, computational, or genomic methodologies that advance studies in genetic epidemiology. Other types of reports are encouraged, such as letters to the editor, topic reviews, and perspectives from other fields of research that will likely enrich the field of genetic epidemiology.
