The International Journal of Orthopaedic and Trauma Nursing is a peer-reviewed journal that seeks to promote the development and exchange of specialist knowledge within orthopaedic and trauma practice. The journal is devoted to nurses and other health professionals involved in the care of patients with orthopaedic and associated traumatic conditions. Following on from the tradition of the Journal of Orthopaedic Nursing, the journal aims to promote best practice through the dissemination of high quality research findings, debate within practice, exploration of professional issues and the development of health care practice as well as innovative roles.The journal publishes a wide range of papers from primary research and evidence updates to personal reflections on practice, education and management issues. Supporting sections include literature reviews, book reviews and international policy digests and Letters to the Editor and Editorials are encouraged which shed additional perspectives on papers published in the journal and matters affecting orthopaedic and trauma practice.The mission of the journal is to facilitate global networking that results in the sharing of evidence-based practice, the dissemination of ideas and knowledge amongst orthopaedic and trauma nurses alongside other members of the health care team, including the organisations which support such practitioners in developing their knowledge and practice. The editorial team encourages and supports contributions from both experienced and first time authors.New Section - Practice Development in orthopaedics and traumaPapers which describe initiatives and innovation in practice development are welcomed by the Editors. In keeping with the journal's aims and scope, short papers are invited from clinical staff, educators and students. Such papers may focus on, but are not restricted to, best practice and practice development initiatives; implementation of research findings and education; and development of the workforce in the clinical environment. Papers should be prepared in keeping with the journal's style (Guide for Authors can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/locate/ijotn) and should help the orthopaedic and trauma practitioner to develop and maintain their own skills and knowledge and help to transform delivery of quality care for patients elsewhere in the world. In addition, authors can use such papers to make the most of international networks by sharing their work, thoughts and ideas. International Journal of Orthoplastic Surgery (IJOPS) is a peer-reviewed, international journal, looking to publish the very highest quality content in the emerging cross-disciplinary and cutting-edge field of Orthoplastic Surgery.

Orthoplastic Surgery is defined as the principles and practices of both specialities applied to a clinical problem either by a single doctor or team of providers working in concert for the benefit of the patient.  The field represents an active research front and includes; Orthopaedics, microsurgical reconstruction, oncology, allotransplantation, wound healing and reconstruction of upper and lower extremity injuries/defects. 

The journal seeks to be inclusive and appeal to not just surgeons, but physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and all those involved in the multidisciplinary management of orthoplastic patients.  We aim to publish basic science, clinical and translational articles.  We commit to providing rapid submission to decision times whilst maintaining a high-quality peer-review process that’s constructive.  

The aim of the International Journal of Osteoarchaeology is to provide a forum for the publication of papers dealing with all aspects of the study of human and animal bones from archaeological contexts. The journal will publish original papers dealing with human or animal bone research from any area of the world. It will also publish short papers which give important preliminary observations from work in progress and it will publish book reviews. All papers will be subject to peer review. Papers from any of the following principal areas of work would be considered for publication. Palaeopathology: Human and animal diseases as found in actual human and animal remains, including radiographic, histological and serological and immunological studies. Physical anthropology: Ageing, sexing, metric and morphological analysis of human and animal bone. The application of demographic analyses to both. Epidemiology: Prevalence and aetiology of disease and the factors influencing these in human and animal populations. Secular trends. Chemical analysis: Exposure of past populations to toxic substances; reconstruction of the diet and other nutritional studies of human and animal bones. Exploitation of animal resources: Studies of the means of procuring and managing animal food sources including hunting, butchery and domestication. Taphonomy: Processes, both natural and man-made, which affect the preservation and survival of bone. The journal will be aimed principally towards all those with a professional interest in the study of human and animal bones. This includes archaeologists, anthropologists, human and animal bone specialists, palaeopathologists and medical historians. We also hope to attract and encourage students and others for whom this field is of serious but peripheral interest.

The International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine is a peer-reviewed journal that provides for the publication of high quality research articles and review papers that are as broad as the many disciplines that influence and underpin the principles and practice of osteopathic medicine. Particular emphasis is given to basic science research, clinical epidemiology and health social science in relation to osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine.The Editorial Board encourages submission of articles based on both quantitative and qualitative research designs. The Editorial Board also aims to provide a forum for discourse and debate on any aspect of osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine with the aim of critically evaluating existing practices in regard to the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with neuromusculoskeletal disorders and somatic dysfunction. All manuscripts submitted to the IJOM are subject to a blinded review process. The categories currently available for publication include reports of original research, review papers, commentaries and articles related to clinical practice, including case reports. Manuscripts are accepted for publication with the understanding that no substantial part has been, or will be published elsewhere.New section - Osteopathic Education:Papers which focus on osteopathic education in the clinical/practice environment and in academia are welcomed for a new section of the International Journal of Osteopathic Education. Papers from academics involved in the teaching of students in the classroom are welcomed alongside those from clinical staff involved in the education of osteopaths in practice, through post-qualifying education and training initiatives. It is essential that the evidence-base to education is developed and this is reflected in papers submitted for publication. In alignment with the journal's overall Aims and Scope, papers submitted for consideration of publication should be relevant to an international audience, even if they are national in scale of study. The editorial team wish to encourage submission of papers that demonstrate:• Innovation and development of education• Creativity in teaching and learning strategies• Evaluation and quality assurance of academic standards• Advancement of practice-based education• Collaborative interdisciplinary education initiatives• Delivery and evaluation of education within osteopathic and related services.

International Journal of Otolaryngology is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies in all areas of otolaryngology.

The International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry was formed in 1991 by the merger of the Journals of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry and the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry and is published bi-monthly. It has true international scope and aims to promote the highest standard of education, practice and research in paediatric dentistry world-wide. International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry publishes papers on all aspects of paediatric dentistry including: growth and development, behaviour management, prevention, restorative treatment and issue relating to medically compromised children or those with disabilities. This peer-reviewed journal features scientific articles, reviews, case reports, clinical techniques, short communications and abstracts of current paediatric dental research. Analytical studies with a scientific novelty value are preferred to descriptive studies. Case reports illustrating unusual conditions and clinically relevant observations are acceptable but must be of sufficiently high quality to be considered for publication; particularly the illustrative material must be of the highest quality.

Paleopathology is the study and application of methods and techniques for investigating diseases and related conditions from skeletal and soft tissue remains. The International Journal of Paleopathology (IJPP) will publish original and significant articles on human and animal (including hominids) disease, based upon the study of physical remains, including osseous, dental, and preserved soft tissues at a range of methodological levels, from direct observation to molecular, chemical, histological and radiographic analysis. Discussion of ways in which these methods can be applied to the reconstruction of health, disease and life histories in the past is central to the discipline, so the journal would also encourage papers covering interpretive and theoretical issues, and those that place the study of disease at the centre of a bioarchaeological or biocultural approach. Papers dealing with historical evidence relating to disease in the past (rather than history of medicine) will also be published. The journal will also accept significant studies that applied previously developed techniques to new materials, setting the research in the context of current debates on past human and animal health.

Types of paper:

• Research Articles: A full-length, original scholarly article, for example a contextually grounded study of disease one or more ancient communities. Both historical and prehistoric perspectives are appropriate for publication inIJPP. Research articles will usually contain the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions. Articlehttp://ees.elsevier.com/ijppsubmissions should not normally exceed 6000 words excluding tables and citations.

• Case Study: Case studies of special significance are suitable for publication inIJPP. These must be justified in terms of disease, temporal, and/or locational uniqueness. As a rule, case studies are normally less lengthy than research reports and should not exceed 3000 words, excluding tables and citations.

• Technical Note: Normally shorter than research reports (and not to exceed 1500 words excluding tables and citations), technical notes describe innovative methodologies or validation techniques.

• Brief Communication: No longer than a published page (1500 words maximum, excluding tables and citations), brief communications report the presence of a condition not sufficiently unique to merit a longer treatment (case study). Brief communications register data that may be useful for other researchers wishing to initiate comparative analyses.

• Review: Reviews of periodicals, books or other media related to paleopathology. Book reviews will normally be solicited by the IJPP Review Editor. Individual volumes of special interest to the readership of the IJPP are appropriate, as are volumes in related fields. Cluster reviews of recent publications that place them in historical and disciplinary contexts are also encouraged. Authors who wish to volunteer individual or cluster reviews should consult with the Review Editor concerning the suitability of material and length of the contribution.

• Invited Commentary: Commentaries invited by the Editor-in-Chief.
