Journal of Family Communication (JFC) publishes original empirical and theoretical papers that advance our understanding of the communication processes within or about families. JFC is also committed to publishing manuscripts that address issues related to the intersection between families, communication, and social systems, such as mass media, education, health care, and law & policy. The journal seeks to publish the highest quality family communication manuscripts that are theoretically grounded and methodologically rigorous. JFC is topically and methodologically inclusive, publishing research that is quantitative, qualitative, rhetorical, and critical. The journal also welcomes multidisciplinary scholarship as well as papers from related fields, such as family studies, social psychology, and sociology.Authors should avoid gender-biased language in their submissions and must conform to the conventions specified in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition. Advanced doctoral students are invited to participate in JFC's reviewer-in-training program. The reviewer-in-training will serve as the fourth reviewer of a manuscript. He/she will be asked to review approximately three manuscripts in an 18-month period. The editorial decision and reviews are then shared with the novice reviewer, providing the trainee the opportunity to see how his/her review compared to those of others. If the reviews are strong, constructive, and prompt, then the reviewers-in-training will become part of the ad-hoc review pool after the three review, 18-month probationary period. The mission of the Journal of Family Nursing (JFN) is to extend knowledge about family response to health and illness and improve healthcare offered to families. JFN is a peer-reviewed journal publishing scholarly work on nursing research, practice, education, and policy issues related to families in health and illness. Appropriate articles of empirical and theoretical analysis on the subject of family health will also be considered for publication. Both family-as-context and family-as-unit are represented. The journal recognizes a strong mandate to represent cultural diversity and families across the life cycle and encourages interdisciplinary and collaborative perspectives as well as international contributions. The Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care is a peer reviewed journal that aims to improve reproductive and sexual health nationally and internationally. The Journal publishes high-quality research and information relevant to clinical care, service delivery, training and education in the field of contraception and reproductive/sexual health.
