ChERD aims to be the principal international journal for publication of high quality, original papers in chemical engineering.Papers showing how research results can be used in chemical engineering design, and accounts of experimental or theoretical research work bringing new perspectives to established principles, highlighting unsolved problems or indicating directions for future research, are particularly welcome. Contributions that deal with new developments in plant or processes and that can be given quantitative expression are encouraged. Chemical Engineering Science publishes papers on the fundamentals of chemical engineering, including the development of chemical engineering knowledge and process into and from other disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, and applied mathematics. We welcome manuscripts describing original research, with significant results based on experiments and/or developments in theory. Such results may be the outcome of studies that range from the molecular level to the plant level. Increasingly, published research addresses and impacts global issues. We also will consider critical reviews of cutting-edge developments, and prospective authors are encouraged to contact an Executive Editor prior to submission. Industrial areas covered by the journal include biotechnology, chemicals, energy, food, materials, microelectronics, nanotechnology, specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification is intended for practicing researchers in industry and academia, working in the field of Process Engineering and related to the subject of Process Intensification.Articles published in the Journal demonstrate how novel discoveries, developments and theories in the field of Process Engineering and in particular Process Intensification may be used for analysis and design of innovative equipment and processing methods with substantially improved sustainability, efficiency and environmental performance.The Journal invites full-length research and succinct current-perspective articles from any branch of chemical engineering, particularly those concerned with themes such as equipment & plant miniaturization, alternative energy conversion & transport mechanisms, intensified hydrodynamics, structured environments, multifunctionality and intensified plant operation. Multidisciplinary papers and contributions from other disciplines, such as materials science, applied physics, electronics, fluid mechanics or energy technology, having impact on intensification of the chemical process industry are also welcome.Occasionally, review papers will be published for individual fields of activity to illustrate and summarize scientific and/or technological progress.The Journal presents advanced knowledge on engineering fundamentals and processes in such a form that it can be readily turned into practical applications.

Chemical Geology (including Isotope Geoscience) is an international journal that publishes original research papers on the isotopic and elemental geochemistry and geochronology of the Earth. The Journal is concerned with chemical processes in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary petrology, low- and high-temperature aqueous solutions, biogeochemistry and the environment.Papers that are field, experimentally, or computationally based are all appropriate providing they are of broad international interest. Chemical Papers is devoted to research in pure and applied chemistry and chemical engineering. At its founding in 1947, the journal presented the achievements of Slovak chemical science. Today, it is a peer-reviewed international journal published in English by the Institute of Chemistry of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, with the support of several other academic institutions. Its interdisciplinary coverage brings chemistry research together with related disciplines, including analytical chemistry; (bio)catalysis; biochemistry; chemical (bio)technology; (bio)chemical engineering; chemical physics; drug chemistry; food chemistry; environmental chemistry; inorganic chemistry; macromolecular chemistry; materials chemistry; mathematical chemistry; medical and pharmaceutical chemistry; nanochemistry; organic chemistry; physical chemistry and more.

Criteria for publication in Chemical Physics are novelty, quality and general interest in experimental and theoretical chemical physics and physical chemistry. Articles are welcome that deal with problems of electronic and structural dynamics, reaction mechanisms, fundamental aspects of catalysis, solar energy conversion and chemical reactions in general, involving atoms, molecules, proteins, clusters, surfaces, interfaces and bulk matter. Reports on new methodologies and comprehensive assessments of existing ones, as well as applications to new types of problems are especially welcome. Experimental papers are expected to be brought into relation with theory, and theoretical papers should be connected to present or future experiments. Manuscripts that apply standard methods to specific physical-chemical problems and/or to specific systems are appropriate if they report novel results for an important problem of high interest and/or if they provide significant new insights.Manuscripts describing routine use or minor extensions or modifications of established and/or published experimental and theoretical methodologies are not appropriate for the journal. In addition, manuscripts describing analytical procedures that use established spectroscopic techniques, such as for sample characterization, will not be accepted for publication, even if they appear new or improved with respect to procedures previously used.In addition to regular research papers, Chemical Physics publishes invited perspectives articles (called ChemPhys Perspectives) and Special Thematic Issues. Each Chemical Physics Special Issue provides a snapshot of the leading edge in current research of a particular field in chemical physics, and contains invited articles by specialists in that field. The objective is to create a collection of articles representative of the newest findings in a field and equivalent to that covered at a topical conference.

Chemical Physics Letters publishes brief reports on molecules, interfaces, condensed phases, nanomaterials and nanostructures, polymers, biomolecular systems, and energy conversion and storage.Criteria for publication are quality, urgency and impact. Further, experimental results reported in the journal have direct relevance for theory, and theoretical developments or non-routine computations relate directly to experiment.
