The Journal of Applied Sport Psychology is a refereed journal designed to advance thought, theory, and research on applied aspects of sport and exercise psychology. Submissions such as position papers, reviews, theoretical developments specific to sport and/or exercise and applied research conducted in these settings or having significant applied implications to sport and exercise are appropriate content for the JASP. The purpose of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) is to promote the development of psychological theory, research, and intervention strategies in sport psychology. The Journal of Asian Public Policy was launched in 2008. This exciting new journal focuses on one of the most vibrant regions of the contemporary world. Both China and India are now recognized to be critical players in the global economy, with economic profiles that grow on an annual basis. East Asian economies that started to develop somewhat earlier, following the Japanese lead, remain among the most important economies in the world. The emergent regions of South and Southeast Asia have many dynamic economic sectors. Public policy, governance and development issues are drawing increasing attention not only from academia but also from the wider business, professional and policy communities. Development and policy issues will be defined broadly. Comparative analysis and current policy debates will be particularly stressed. Asia will also be defined broadly to encompass an area bounded by Mongolia in the north, Indonesia in the south, Korea in the east, and Afghanistan in the west. Articles that do not have an explicit Asian focus will be considered only if they have clear relevance to an Asian readership.

The region of the Balkans and the Near East has assumed an important geo-political and global economic significance since the end of the Cold War. This territory, which includes old and new nation-states of the former Ottoman Empire and Soviet Union, stands at the crossroads of an expanding West (NATO, the EU) and a re-emerging East (Russia, China, India). A focus on the Balkans and the Near East in a more globalized world must involve the re-examination of widely held assumptions, modern historical claims, and political, economic and security assertions concerning the nation-states of Southeastern Europe and the Near East. In this context, the Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies seeks to address, in an historical and theoretically-informed manner, the complex historical, economic, political, diplomatic, cultural and security issues that confront the region, in the light of such important developments as the process of European integration, the evolution of NATO, and the more general changes in the international governance system after the end of the Cold War in Eurasia and the terrorist attacks on the United States on 11 September 2001. The Journal of College Student Psychotherapy is dedicated to exploring significant issues in the field of college student mental health. Journal of Community Archaeology & Heritage is a new journal intended for participants, volunteers, practitioners, and academics involved in the many projects and practices broadly defined as ‘community archaeology’. This is intended to include the excavation, management, stewardship or presentation of archaeological and heritage resources that include major elements of community participation, collaboration, or outreach.

The journal recognises the growing interest in voluntary activism in archaeological research and interpretation, and seeks to create a platform for discussion about the efficacy and importance of such work as well as a showcase for the dissemination of community archaeology projects (which might offer models of best practice for others).
