Aging, Neuropsychology and Cognition

ISSN: 1382-5585eISSN: 1744-4128

SPECIAL ISSUE CALL FOR PAPERS: Cognitive and Motivational Mechanisms Compensating for the Limitations in Performance on Complex Cognitive Tasks across the Adult Life-SpanThe purposes of Aging, Neuropsychology, and Cognition are to (a) publish research on both the normal and dysfunctional aspects of cognitive development in adulthood and aging, and (b) promote the integration of theories, methods, and research findings between the fields of cognitive gerontology and neuropsychology. The primary emphasis of the journal is to publish original empirical research. Occasionally, theoretical or methodological papers, critical reviews of a content area, or theoretically relevant case studies will also be published. Emphases of interest include information processing mechanisms, intellectual abilities, the impact of injury or disease on performance, cognitive training, cognitive and pharmacological approaches to treatment and rehabilitation, metacognition, and the social and personal aspects of cognitive functioning.Articles on both normal and dysfunctional development that are relevant to the interface between cognitive gerontology and neuropsychology are particularly welcome. Multiple approaches to issues of aging and cognition (e.g., basic, applied, clinical), and multiple methodologies (e.g., cross-sectional, longitudinal, experimental, multivariate correlation) are appropriate.Peer Review IntegrityAll published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and refereeing by independent expert referees.Related LinksBrowse books in Aging/Gerontology, Cognitive Psychology or Neuropsychology.View forthcoming conferences in Aging/Gerontology, Cognitive Psychology or Neuropsychology.Disclaimer Taylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the "Content") contained in its publications. Aquatic Insects: International Journal of Freshwater Entomology

ISSN: 0165-0424eISSN: 1744-4152

2009 Impact Factor - 0.311.Five Year Impact Factor - 0.340.169;2010 Thomson Reuters, 2009 Journal Citation Reports174;Aquatic Insects is an international journal publishing original research on both the systematics and the ecology of aquatic insects. Taxonomically, aquatic insects are a heterogeneous assemblage, comprising several orders which have evolved in aquatic habitats. Further, the bugs, beetles and flies each include many large families present only in aquatic habitats. In fact, almost every insect order has at least a few aquatic representatives. The shared habitat unifying the different groups of aquatic insects brings the journal into close contact with the field of limnology. In all kinds of freshwater environments, aquatic insects are usually the largest single group of organisms, by species as well as specimen numbers, and are of paramount importance to the community structure and function. Since a large number of aquatic insect species are ecological indicators, articles in this entomological journal are also of direct relevance to all students of aquatic ecosystems. The journal publishes original research on systematics and ecology of aquatic insects. Descriptions of individual species without general interest to an international readership are only accepted if space permits. Descriptions based on single specimens are discouraged. Purely faunistic studies and other papers of only regional interest are not considered. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.ReadershipEntomologists, taxonomists, ecologists, limnologists, and fishery biologists.---Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science PublicationsTaylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 8220;Content8221;) contained in its publications. Biological Rhythm Research

ISSN: 0929-1016eISSN: 1744-4179

The principal aim of Biological Rhythm Research is to unite in one scientific journal all reports in the field of biological rhythm research which in the past were scattered over many scientific journals covering a great number of different disciplines. By bringing these papers together the Editorial Board stimulates interdisciplinary rhythm research not only because of the similarity of the methods applied in different fields of research, but also because of the increasing conviction of many scientists that, apart from the direct mechanisms involved in various rhythmic phenomena, many of these may be subjected to common extraneous controlling or masking influences. The Journal publishes original scientific research papers, review papers, short notes on research in progress, book reviews, summaries of activities, symposia and congresses of national and international organizations dealing with rhythmic phenomena. --- Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science Publications Taylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications.
