ANIMAL SCIENCE PAPERS AND REPORTS (Anim. Sci. Pap. Rep.) is an English language quarterly published by the Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Jastrzebiec. Papers are welcome reporting studies in all aspects of animal breeding and genetics, reproduction, animal biotechnology, physiology, ethology and welfare. Critical review papers and short reports will also be considered and in justified cases also other original articles dealing with animal science and production. Proceedings of the related meetings and conferences will be published as supplements.

Elsevier is pleased to announce that from 2016 it will be the official publisher for The Professional Animal Scientist beginning a new publishing partnership with ARPAS.

The Professional Animal Scientist (PAS) is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal and the official publication of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS). The purpose of ARPAS is to provide certification of professional status for qualified members of the society, to strengthen animal sciences among the professions, and to promote animal sciences and the work of animal scientists. Continual education is required of all certified professionals to keep abreast of rapidly changing technology in their fields.

In continuous publication since 1985, PAS is a leading outlet for animal science research. The journal welcomes novel manuscripts on applied technology, reviews on the use or application of research-based information on animal agriculture, commentaries on contemporary issues, case studies, and technical notes. Topics which will be considered for publication include (but are not limited to): feed science, farm animal management and production, dairy science, meat science, animal nutrition, reproduction, animal physiology and behavior, disease control and prevention, microbiology, agricultural economics, and environmental issues related to agriculture. Themed special issues may also be considered for publication.

PAS is indexed in Scopus, CABI, and AGRICOLA, and caters to a wide and comprehensive audience. Aquaculture Reports will publish original research papers and reviews documenting outstanding science with a regional context and focus, answering the need for high quality information on novel species, systems and regions in emerging areas of aquaculture research and development, such as integrated multi-trophic aquaculture, urban aquaculture, ornamental, unfed aquaculture, offshore aquaculture and others. Papers having industry research as priority and encompassing product development research or current industry practice are encouraged.

We welcome submissions on novel species or production systems and on species or production systems established locally or with regional significance, falling within the following categories:

  • Feeding management, nutrition and health: all aspects of aquatic animal feed, nutrition, health and diseases relevant to aquaculture, including evaluation of regional feeds and feedstuffs as well as novel feed management practices and techniques.
  • Production, economics and sustainability: production methods and systems for aquatic produce. Dissemination of interdisciplinary knowledge regarding the sustainable management of aquatic resources and resulting impacts on people and the environment. Articles which include economic analysis are encouraged.
  • Genetics, developmental biology, physiology and life cycle: all aspects of farmed aquatic animals and plants relevant to solving problems related to their culture.
