Inquiry is an Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy. Founded by Arne Naess in 1958, Inquiry has come to occupy a distinctive and highly valued place amongst the philosophical journals. Inquiry is a refereed journal, publishing in all areas of philosophy. It has made its most distinctive mark in fostering exchange across the various internal boundaries and barriers that characterized philosophy over the past century. It has been a significant force in breaking down the distinction between so-called 'analytic' and 'continental' philosophy; it seeks to connect the history of philosophy with its current practice; it has been a venue for cross-fertilization between philosophy and the social sciences; and it seeks connections between fundamental philosophical issues and contemporary cultural developments. Inquiry publishes research articles, symposia, special issues, target articles, review essays, art reviews and critical discussions. Under the leadership of a distinguished international editorial board, the journal has created a forum presenting a wide range of material of the highest standard from philosophers across the world, reflecting the best thinking from a variety of philosophical perspectives, in a way that is accessible to all.

This journal explores the cultural nature of human conduct and its evolutionary history, anthropology, ethology, communication processes between people and within -- as well as between -- societies. It integrates perspectives of the social and biological sciences through theoretical models of epigenesis. Integrative Psychological & Behavioral Science (IPBS) features articles that cover theoretical integration of ideas, epistemology of social and biological sciences, and original empirical research articles of general scientific value. IPBS covers the history of the social sciences as relevant for development of theoretical perspectives and empirical elaborations within the social and biological sciences. It integrates knowledge from many fields in a new synthesis of universal social science – overcoming the post-modernist fragmentation of ideas.

The organ of no single institution or sectarian school, philosophical or religious, the International Journal for Philosophy of Religion provides a medium for the exposition, development, and criticism of important philosophical insights and theories relevant to religion in any of its varied forms. It also provides a forum for critical, constructive, and interpretative consideration of religion from an objective philosophical point of view.

Articles, symposia, discussions, reviews, notes, and news in this journal are intended to serve the interests of a wide range of thoughtful readers, especially teachers and students of philosophy, philosophical theology and religious thought.

As the first international journal entirely devoted to philosophical skepticism, the International Journal for the Study of Skepticism publishes high-quality articles and discussion notes on any field of research relevant to the study of skeptical thought. The journal also contains critical notices and reviews of major books on skepticism, and organizes book symposia on recent ground-breaking works. Children, Spirituality, Loss and Recovery: What do we mean by 'spirituality' and what relevance does it have to schooling and society? The International Journal of Children's Spirituality seeks to debate such questions through peer reviewed contributions from those in education concerned with these issues.International Journal of Children's Spirituality provides an international, inter-disciplinary and multi-cultural forum for those involved in research and development of children's and young people's spirituality, within which this debate can be addressed and widened.This includes examining the nature and possible expressions of spirituality, the philosophical and practical foundations for morality, and their relationship in our rapidly changing world. The need for and the nature of spiritual and moral development in schools and society is of great significance, but whose responsibility is this and how can progress be achieved?The editors believe a constructive and wide-ranging debate is necessary, involving educators, academics, religious communities, parents, local and national government and employers, and that this should take account of international perspectives and contributions from a broad range of subject disciplines.Most educational publications attract a readership that is clearly divided into academics and teachers, so that what is read by one group is seldom consulted by the other. International Philosophical Quarterly has provided a peer-reviewed forum in English for the international exchange of basic philosophical ideas since 1961. The Journal for General Philosophy of Science is a forum for the discussion of a variety of attitudes concerning the philosophy of science. It has as its subject matter the philosophical, especially methodological, ontological, epistemological, anthropological, and ethical foundations of the individual sciences. Particular emphasis is laid on bringing both the natural, the cultural, and the technical sciences into a philosophical context, within which the historical presuppositions and conditions of the current problems of the philosophy of science are also included in the discussion.

The Journal for General Philosophy of Science has been successful in its attempt to serve as a forum that bridges the gap between the different sciences, especially the natural, cultural, and social sciences. One of its purposes is to discuss and contrast the common as well as the different specific methodological and philosophical foundations of the individual sciences, taking into account all currently relevant positions of the philosophy of science.

In recent years considerable insight has been gained into the problems of current philosophy of science by considering the historical dimension of the sciences. This is why more intensive efforts will be made in the future towards the integration of historical and systematic considerations.
