Cell Reports Medicine is a premium open-access journal from Cell Press publishing cutting-edge research in translational and clinical biomedical sciences that inform and influence human health and medicine.

The content published in Cell Reports Medicine reaches a broad range of scientists and clinicians across the spectrum of medical disciplines, ensuring that your work will be both visible and accessible. The journal publishes original research that ranges from exciting concepts in human biology, health, and disease to all phases of clinical work. We encourage submissions featuring innovative ideas that open up new directions in clinical research and practice, as well as studies that provide critical information that enriches our understanding of current standards of care in diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. This includes, but is not limited to, translational studies, clinical trials in all areas of medicine including long-term trial follow-ups as well as work in genomics, biomarker discovery, and developments in technology that contribute to diagnostics, treatment, and healthcare. Studies based on vertebrate model organisms also fall within the scope of the journal, provided that the results are directly relevant to human health and disease.

The journal’s scope includes systems at all scales8212;from molecules, pathways, cells, and tissues to whole organisms, populations, and ecosystems8212;and a diversity of traditional disciplines, including but not limited to microbiology, cancer, immunology, plant biology, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, translational medicine, digital healthcare, biological engineering, and systems and synthetic biology.

In addition to peer-reviewed research, Cell Systems publishes Reviews, Previews, and Commentaries covering research topics and broader societal issues related to the scope of the journal. Through services that rise to the challenges inherent in quantitative system-scale studies, the journal aims to publish and facilitate research for our communities of readers and authors.

Cell Transplantation publishes original, peer-reviewed research and review articles on the subject of cell transplantation and its application to human diseases. To ensure high-quality contributions from all areas of transplantation, separate section editors and editorial boards have been established. Articles deal with a wide range of topics including physiological, medical, preclinical, tissue engineering, and device-oriented aspects of transplantation of nervous system, endocrine, growth factor-secreting, bone marrow, epithelial, endothelial, and genetically engineered cells, among others. Basic clinical studies and immunological research papers are also featured. To provide complete coverage of this revolutionary field, Cell Transplantation will report on relevant technological advances, and ethical and regulatory considerations of cell transplants. Cell Transplantation is now an Open Access journal starting with volume 18 in 2009, and therefore there will be an inexpensive publication charge, which is dependent on the number of pages, in addition to the charge for color figures. This will allow work to be disseminated to a wider audience and also entitle the corresponding author to a free PDF, as well as prepublication of an unedited version of the manuscript.

Cell and Tissue Banking provides a forum for disseminating information to scientists and clinicians involved in the banking and transplantation of cells and tissues. Cell and Tissue Banking is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original papers in such areas as quality assurance and control of banked cells and tissues; preservation and sterilization methods; clinical applications of banked cells and tissues; standards of practice in procurement, processing, storage and distribution; and ethical and medico-legal issues. Research is presented in the form of full-length papers describing original work; short communications for rapid publication; and mini- and full-length reviews of topical issues.

Cell and Tissue Research presents regular articles and reviews in the areas of molecular, cell, and supracellular biology. In particular, the journal provides a forum for publishing data that analyze the supracellular, integrative actions of gene products and their impact on the formation of tissue structure and function. Articles emphasize structure-function relationships as revealed by recombinant molecular technologies. Areas of research with a long-standing tradition of publishing in Cell & Tissue Research include: neurobiology, neuroendocrinology, endocrinology, reproductive biology, skeletal and immune systems, and development.

Cells Tissues Organs aims at bridging the gap between cell biology and developmental biology and the emerging fields of regenerative medicine (stem cell biology, tissue engineering, artificial organs, in vitro systems, and transplantation biology). Cells Tissues Organs offers a rapid and fair peer review and exquisite reproduction quality. Special topic issues, entire issues of the journal devoted to a single research topic within the range of interests of the journal, are published at irregular intervals.

Cellular & Molecular Immunology is a bimonthly journal from the Chinese Society of Immunology and the University of Science and Technology of China. Cellular Oncology publishes scientific contributions from various biomedical and clinical disciplines involved in basic and translational cancer research on the cell and tissue level, technical and bioinformatics developments in this area, and clinical applications. This includes a variety of fields like genome technology, micro-arrays and other high-throughput techniques, genomic instability, SNP, DNA methylation, signaling pathways, DNA organization, (sub)microscopic imaging, proteomics, bioinformatics, functional effects of genomics, drug design and development, molecular diagnostics and targeted cancer therapies, genotype-phenotype interactions. A major goal is to translate the latest developments in these fields from the research laboratory into routine patient management. To this end Cellular Oncology will form a platform of scientific information exchange between molecular biologists and geneticists, technical developers, pathologists, (medical) oncologist and other clinicians involved in the managemen

Papers, submitted to this journal, having neither been submitted, accepted nor published previously or simultaneously in other journals or books, may be accepted.It should be noted that all papers have to be transmitted, either to the Editor-in-Chief, to the Associate Editors or to the Co-Editors, who can all, without exception, handle the totality of the procedures, leading to the evaluation of the papers. After revision and acceptance of the paper, it is transmitted to the Editor-in-Chief who decides finally about its definitive acceptability. No any claim can be made by the author(s) concerning an eventual rejection of the paper. They can neither oblige any of the Editors and the Editor-in-Chief to disclose the name(s) and the number of the Referees, nor to give a detailed account about the content of the comments of the Referees.

In an effort to distribute its content to the widest audience possible, CMGH is an open access, all-digital journal. We will maximize our digital platform by including graphical abstracts, animated illustrations, large data sets, and video microscopy, endoscopy, and whole animal imaging approaches. Initially, CMGH will be a bi-monthly publication, moving to a monthly publication in its second year. CMGH will debut its first issue in January 2015. Our editors will rapidly and fairly review submissions with the assistance of an expert editorial board and external reviews. Following rigorous peer review, accepted manuscripts will be published online within days of the final decision.

Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology publishes original research concerned with the analysis of neuronal and brain function at the cellular and subcellular levels. The journal offers timely, peer-reviewed articles that describe anatomic, genetic, physiologic, pharmacologic, and biochemical approaches to the study of neuronal function and the analysis of elementary mechanisms. Studies are presented on isolated mammalian tissues and intact animals, with investigations aimed at the molecular mechanisms or neuronal responses at the level of single cells. Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology also presents studies of the effects of neurons on other organ systems, such as analysis of the electrical or biochemical response to neurotransmitters or neurohormones on smooth muscle or gland cells.
