The aim of this Journal is to be thoroughly international in nature. It disseminates high-quality research, theoretical advances, international developments to foster international understanding, and to spread ideas about initiatives in bilingualism and bilingual education.The Journal seeks:8226; To promote theoretical and applied research into bilingual education and bilingualism.8226; To provide a truly international exchange, and to encourage international debates and discussions on key issues in areas of controversy in bilingual education and bilingualism.8226; To disseminate internationally effective practice (e.g. in the development of bilingual children, bilingual education, bilingualism in the economy).8226; To provide interdisciplinary perspectives for an international audience. Refereeing proceduresEvery article within the remit of the Journal is sent to two or more reviewers. At least one reviewer will be a member of the Editorial Board. Reviewers' comments and recommendations will be sent to the contact author with a decision. This will normally be one of: Accept; Accept if there is a satisfactory completion of edits as indicated by the reviewers; Resubmission with a further review process; Rejection.

The International Journal of Bilingualism (IJB) is an international forum for the dissemination of original research on the linguistic, psychological, neurological, and social issues which emerge from language contact. While stressing interdisciplinary links, the focus of the Journal is on the language behavior of the bi- and multilingual individual.

The International Journal of Corpus Linguistics (IJCL) publishes original research covering methodological, applied and theoretical work in any area of corpus linguistics. Through its focus on empirical language research, IJCL provides a forum for the presentation of new findings and innovative approaches in any area of linguistics (e.g. lexicology, grammar, discourse analysis, stylistics, sociolinguistics, morphology, contrastive linguistics), applied linguistics (e.g. language teaching, forensic linguistics), and translation studies. Based on its interest in corpus methodology, IJCL also invites contributions on the interface between corpus and computational linguistics. The journal has a major reviews section publishing book reviews as well as corpus and software reviews. The language of the journal is English, but contributions are also invited on studies of languages other than English. IJCL occasionally publishes special issues (for details please contact the editor). All contributions are peer-reviewed.

The International Journal of Language & Communication Disorders (IJLCD) is the official journal of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. The Journal welcomes submissions on all aspects of speech, language, communication disorders and speech and language therapy. It provides a forum for the exchange of information and discussion of issues of clinical or theoretical relevance in the above areas. The Journal, established in 1966, publishes a range of articles, including research reports, reviews, discussions and clinical fora, as well as editorials or commentaries commissioned by the editors. Research reports from both quantitative and qualitative frameworks are encouraged but must have appropriate and clear methodology and thoroughly analysed and interpreted results.

The aim of the International Journal of Multilingualism (IJM) is to foster, present and spread research focused on psycholinguistic, sociolinguistic and educational aspects of multilingual acquisition and multilingualism. The journal is interdisciplinary and seeks to go beyond bilingualism and second language acquisition by developing the understanding of the specific characteristics of acquiring, processing and using more than two languages. The International Journal of Multilingualism (IJM) provides a forum wherein academics, researchers and practitioners may read and publish high-quality, original and state-of-the-art papers describing theoretical and empirical aspects that can contribute to advance our understanding of multilingualism.Topics of interest to IJM include, but are not limited to the following: early trilingualism, multilingual competence, foreign language learning within bilingual education, multilingual literacy, multilingual identity, metalinguistic awareness in multilinguals, multilingual representations in the mind or language use in multilingual communities.The editors encourage the submission of high quality papers on these areas as well as on other topics relevant to the interest of the International Journal Multilingualism (IJM). This is the only journal which presents papers on both the base technology and theory as well as all varieties of applications. It encompasses all aspects of the three major technologies: text-to-speech synthesis, automatic speech recognition and stored (digitized) speech.

The International Multilingual Research Journal (IMRJ) invites scholarly contributions with strong interdisciplinary perspectives to understand and promote bi/multilingualism, bi/multi-literacy, and linguistic democracy. The journal's focus is on these topics as related to languages other than English as well as dialectal variations of English. It has three thematic emphases: The intersection of language and culture, the dialectics of the local and global, and comparative models within and across contexts. IMRJ is committed to promoting equity, access, and social justice in education, and to offering accessible research and policy analyses to better inform scholars, educators, students, and policy makers IMRJ is particularly interested in scholarship grounded in interdisciplinary frameworks that offer insights from linguistics, applied linguistics, education, globalization and immigration studies, cultural psychology, linguistic and psychological anthropology, sociolinguistics, literacy studies, post-colonial studies, critical race theory, and critical theory and pedagogy. It seeks theoretical and empirical scholarship with implications for research, policy, and practice. Submissions of research articles based on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods are encouraged. The journal includes book reviews and two occasional sections: Perspectives and Research Notes. Perspectives allows for informed debate and exchanges on current issues and hot topics related to bi/multilingualism, bi/multi-literacy, and linguistic democracy from research, practice, and policy perspectives. Interpreting serves as a medium for research and debate on all aspects of interpreting, in its various modes, modalities (spoken and signed) and settings (conferences, media, courtroom, healthcare and others). Striving to promote our understanding of the socio-cultural, cognitive and linguistic dimensions of interpreting as an activity and process, the journal covers theoretical and methodological concerns, explores the history and professional ecology of interpreting and its role in society, and addresses current issues in professional practice and training. Interpreting encourages cross-disciplinary inquiry from such fields as anthropology, cognitive science, cultural studies, discourse analysis, language planning, linguistics, neurolinguistics, psychology and sociology, as well as translation studies.
