Manuscripts are categorized as Analytical or Clinical Investigations and may be offered as Full Papers, Short Communications, or Letters. Opinion pieces and Special Reports are welcome, but contributors are encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief to avoid conflict with other forthcoming publications.

Published quarterly—in March, June, September, and December—each issue offers state-of-the-art reviews on a single topic in pathology, including quality control in lab testing, coagulation, clinical microbiology, toxicology testing, clinical cytogenetics, mass spectrometry, blood transfusion, and much more.

Critical Reviews in Clinical Laboratory Sciences publishes review articles in all areas of clinical laboratory science (including clinical biochemistry, clinical hematology, clinical microbiology, pathology, transfusion medicine, genetics, and immunology). Our aim is to meet the needs of, and build a bridge between, two constituencies: to allow clinical scientists to broaden their primary knowledge base to include the vocabulary, concepts, and information from the various fields of medicine that they require to perform their work; and to allow laboratory physicians to keep pace with the rapid developments taking place in scientific disciplines that directly impact their daily activities. The editorial staff strive to ensure the inclusion of sufficient introductory background material in each article to allow a non-specialist reader to understand the text that follows.Reviews are generally solicited from international experts on the advice of members of the Editorial Advisory Board. However, other authors are encouraged to submit outlines of proposed reviews to the Editor-in-Chief for consideration, following which a formal invitation may be issued. Primary authors are encouraged to recruit collaborators to help in forging a representative consensus and comprehensive coverage of the selected topic. The adjective “Critical” implies a balanced synthesis of results and conclusions that are frequently contradictory and controversial. A single expert, whose name appears under the names of the authors, is assigned the task of refereeing the paper. This open process promotes a fairer review than may be the case when the identity of the referee is concealed by the mask of anonymity. Histochemistry and Cell Biology is devoted to the field of molecular histology and cell biology, publishing original articles dealing with the localization and identification of molecular components, metabolic activities and cell biological aspects of cells and tissues. Coverage extends to the development, application, and/or evaluation of methods and probes that can be used in the entire area of histochemistry and cell biology. This is the official journal of the Society for Histochemistry.

The Journal of Cytology is the official Quarterly publication of the Indian Academy of Cytologists. It is in the 25th year of publication in the year 2008. The journal covers all aspects of diagnostic cytology, including fine needle aspiration cytology, gynecological and non-gynecological cytology. Articles on ancillary techniques, like cytochemistry, immunocytochemistry, electron microscopy, molecular cytopathology, as applied to cytological material are also welcome. The journal gives preference to clinically oriented studies over experimental and animal studies. The Journal would publish peer-reviewed original research papers, case reports, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and debates.

The Journal of Immunoassay & Immunochemistry is an international forum for rapid dissemination of research results and methodologies dealing with all aspects of immunoassay and immunochemistry, as well as selected aspects of immunology. The Journal of Laboratory Medicine (JLM) is a bi-monthly published journal that reports on the latest developments in laboratory medicine. Particular focus is placed on the diagnostic aspects of the clinical laboratory, although technical, regulatory, and educational topics are equally covered. .
