Environmental Development is a transdisciplinary journal for the publication and discussion of peer reviewed, original research on emerging issues and solutions for environmental and ecological problems, and the development of policies for environmental management within the framework of sustainable growth.Environmental Development places special emphasis on the practice and policy implications of research in relation to natural resource management, environmental feedbacks and global change. It also creates a forum for transnational communication, discussion and global action. Environmental Development is devoted to promoting the interaction between natural, social and behavioral sciences, to stimulate comparative, transnational and transboundary research and to close the gap between fundamental research and the knowledge and applications in innovative management and policy practices.Environmental Development particularly encourages young researchers and scientists from developing countries to submit their original research, reviews, communications and commentaries. The journal is open to Thematic Issues addressing exciting topics, as long as these consist of very coherent and high-quality contributions. Please contact the editor-in-chief for further information regarding Thematic Issues: t.a.m.beckers@tilburguniversity.edu.
Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology publishes original manuscripts, full-length/mini reviews, thematic issues, rapid technical notes and commentaries that provide insights into the synthesis, characterisation and pharmaceutical (or diagnostic) application of materials at the nanoscale. The nanoscale is defined as a size range of below 1 µm. Scientific findings related to micro and macro systems with functionality residing within features defined at the nanoscale are also within the scope of the journal. Manuscripts detailing the synthesis, exhaustive characterisation, biological evaluation, clinical testing and/or toxicological assessment of nanomaterials are of particular interest to the journal’s readership. Articles should be self contained, centred around a well founded hypothesis and should aim to showcase the pharmaceutical/diagnostic implications of the nanotechnology approach. Manuscripts should aim, wherever possible, to demonstrate the in vivo impact of any nanotechnological intervention. As reducing a material to the nanoscale is capable of fundamentally altering the material’s properties, the journal’s readership is particularly interested in new characterisation techniques and the advanced properties that originate from this size reduction. Both bottom up and top down approaches to the realisation of nanomaterials lie within the scope of the journal.
The mechanisms and contexts of human communication are rapidly changing in the face of new domains of interaction, new technologies, and new global cultures. Contemporary forms of discourse often involve interaction with and through a plethora of technologies. These mechanisms and contexts provide both new artefacts of study and new tools for discourse analysts.Discourse, Context & Media is an international journal dedicated to exploring the full range of contemporary discourse work. It provides an innovative forum to present research that addresses all forms of discourse theory, data and methods - from detailed linguistic or interactional analyses to wider studies of representation, knowledge and ideology. The journal overtly seeks empirical contributions as well as papers that address the theoretical and methodological debates within discourse studies. Such approaches include, but are not limited to: conversation analysis; ethnomethodology; discursive psychology; critical discourse analysis; and sociolinguistics. The journal seeks to explore the challenges and opportunities provided to discourse scholars by digital media. Such media provide opportunities for new forms of data to be analysed, allow rethinking of existing theories and encourage the development of new models of interaction. Discourse, Context & Media is especially interested in contributions that make use of innovative methods and media for the analysis and presentation of data.

The Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition (JARMAC) publishes an engaging mix of the latest theoretically motivated research: empirical studies, review articles, and target papers with invited peer commentary. The goal of this unique journal is to reach not only psychological scientists working in this field and allied areas but also professionals and practitioners who seek to understand, apply, and benefit from research on memory and cognition. Therefore, each empirical article must include a section clearly describing the practical applications of the research. We encourage brevity and crisp, lively prose that appeals to a wide audience. Empirical studies should normally not exceed 4,000 words. We prefer multiple-experiment studies, but will consider single-experiment submissions. JARMAC also features longer target articles that articulate particular perspectives on applied issues related to memory and cognition. Target articles should not exceed 10,000 words; for authors considering a target article, prior discussion with the Editor is recommended.JARMAC is an official journal of Society for Applied Research in Memory & Cognition.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
