he Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly (APAQ) is an international, multidisciplinary journal, designed to stimulate and communicate scholarly inquiry related to physical activity, which includes sport. Disciplines from which scholarship may originate include corrective therapy, gerontology, health care, occupational therapy, pediatrics, physical education, dance, sport medicine, physical therapy, recreation, and rehabilitation. Among populations considered are at-risk infants and preschoolers, school-age children and young adults many of whom receive special education and/or related services, the aging, and the old. Physical activity implies fine, gross, functional, and interpretive movement, viewed from a biomechanical, developmental, learning, physiological, or psychosocial perspective. The focus of the adaptation may be upon equipment, activity, facilities, methodology and/or setting.

Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, launched in 1984, offers rapid publication of original scientific papers on the dynamics, physics and chemistry of the atmosphere and ocean. It reports on the latest achievements and developments in the atmospheric sciences, including marine meteorology and meteorology-associated geophysics, as well as the theoretical and practical aspects of these disciplines. The coverage includes weather systems, numerical weather prediction, climate dynamics and variability, satellite meteorology, remote sensing, air chemistry and the boundary layer, clouds and weather modification, can be found in the journal. Papers describing the application of new mathematics or new instruments are also collected here. African Invertebrates is an international peer-reviewed journal that covers the taxonomy, systematics, biology, biogeography, ecology, conservation and palaeontology of Afrotropical invertebrates, whether terrestrial, freshwater or marine, published jointly by the Council of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum and Pensoft Publishers. A printed version of the journal is produced twice a year. All contributions are published in English (British Standard), with an option to add an abstract in any other language that uses Latin or Cyrillic alphabet. When preparing manuscripts, authors are encouraged to make use of extensive holdings of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum and other South African museums and collections, and to deposit holotypes (paratypes) and voucher specimens in recognised South African institutions.

Life (ISSN 2075-1729) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal of scientific studies related to fundamental themes in Life Sciences, especially those concerned with the origins of life and evolution of biosystems. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed. Electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure - if unable to be published in a normal way - can be deposited as supplementary material.
