Genes & Genomics is an official journal of the Korean Genetics Society (http://kgenetics.or.kr/). Although it is an official publication of the Genetics Society of Korea, membership of the Society is not required for contributors. It is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing print (ISSN 1976-9571) and online version (E-ISSN 2092-9293). It covers all disciplines of genetics and genomics from prokaryotes to eukaryotes from fundamental heredity to molecular aspects. The articles can be reviews, research articles, and short communications.

The journal does not exclude the topics of plant biology, development biology, immunology, cancer, and disease biology if the experiment and subsequent analyses are viewed as genetics and genomics. Genes & Genomics will publish only electronic version of articles from 2014. All contents are available in web (http://link.springer.com/journal/13258). 

Launched in 1995, Genome Research is an international, continuously published, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on research that provides novel insights into the genome biology of all organisms, including advances in genomic medicine.Among the topics considered by the journal are genome structure and function, comparative genomics, molecular evolution, genome-scale quantitative and population genetics, proteomics, epigenomics, and systems biology. The journal also features exciting gene discoveries and reports of cutting-edge computational biology and high-throughput methodologies.New data in these areas are published as research papers, or methods and resource reports that provide novel information on technologies or tools that will be of interest to a broad readership. Complete data sets are presented electronically on the journal's web site where appropriate. The journal also provides Reviews, Perspectives, and Insight/Outlook articles, which present commentary on the latest advances published both here and elsewhere, placing such progress in its broader biological context.

Geobios publishes bimonthly in English original peer-reviewed articles of international interest in any area of paleontology, paleobiology, paleoecology, paleobiogeography, (bio)stratigraphy and biogeochemistry. All taxonomic groups are treated, including microfossils, invertebrates, plants, vertebrates and ichnofossils.Geobios welcomes descriptive papers based on original material (e.g. large Systematic Paleontology works), as well as more analytically and/or methodologically oriented papers, provided they offer strong and significant biochronological/biostratigraphical, paleobiogeographical, paleobiological and/or phylogenetic new insights and perspectices. A high priority level is given to synchronic and/or diachronic studies based on multi- or inter-disciplinary approaches mixing various fields of Earth and Life Sciences. Works based on extant data are also considered, provided they offer significant insights into geological-time studies.

Geofluids provides an international forum for original research into the role of fluids in mineralogical, chemical, and structural evolution of the Earth's crust. Its explicit aim is to disseminate ideas across the range of sub-disciplines in which Geofluids research is carried out. To this end, authors are encouraged to stress the transdisciplinary relevance of their research, and to make their work as accessible as possible to readers from other sub-disciplines. Geofluids emphasizes both chemical and physical aspects of subsurface fluids throughout the Earth's crust (although excluding silicate melts). Geofluids spans studies of groundwater, terrestrial or submarine geothermal fluids, basinal brines, petroleum, metamorphic waters or magmatic fluids. Articles may describe theoretical or observational studies, explore the geologic, geochemical, or geophysical attributes of subsurface fluids, quantify the geologic controls on permeability, geochemical transport and heat transport, or document applied aspects of crustal fluid behaviour. Geographical Research is the international journal of the Institute of Australian Geographers, the national body representing academic and professional geographers in Australia. The primary objective of Geographical Research is to advance geographical research across the discipline and especially to encourage research at the human-physical geography interface. The journal also supports the Institute's Study Groups in Cultural Geography, Economic Geography, Environmental Sustainability, Geographical Information Systems, Indigenous Issues, Physical Geography and Rural Geography. Short papers from practising (professional) geographers, and in geographical education, are particularly welcome. Geoscientific Model Development (GMD) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of the description, development and evaluation of numerical models of the Earth System and its components. Originally founded by Evariste Le´vi-Provenc¸al in 1954 as an organ for French arabists, Arabica has now become a multidisciplinary academic journal, with an international editorial board representing various fields of research. It is dedicated to the study of the Arab world's classical and contemporary literatures, languages, history, thought and civilization. The Asia-Pacific Journal of Atmospheric Sciences (APJAS) is an international journal of the Korean Meteorological Society (KMS), published fully in English. It has started from 2008 by succeeding the KMS' former journal, the Journal of the Korean Meteorological Society (JKMS), which published total of 43 volumes and 129 issues in its time-honored tradition. It is a Spanish and English language international journal that publishes articles of interest for health professionals that wish to become familiar with the practical aspects of the discipline. Although it is included in the group of "case report" journals, it is not limited to publishing clinical cases, as it also approaches all those aspects that are of interest in Primary Care practice, such as projects on the improvement of clinical quality, patient safety, patient-centred care, community programs, ethical conflicts, or organisational innovations that improve Primary Care.

Descriptive studies of cases and unique experiences are situated at the bottom of the scientific evidence pyramid, and for this reason they are not usually accepted in journals that publish biomedical research; however, these works provide knowledge that can be very useful for the clinician, the student, and the researcher. They are of interest for identifying rare or new diseases, to evaluate the effects of therapeutics, their adverse effects, or the cost of interventions, as well as contributing to problem-based learning and non-repetition of errors.
