The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine focuses on human biology and disease, as well as animal studies that contribute to the understanding of pathophysiology and treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory system and critically ill patients. Papers that are solely or predominantly based in cell and molecular biology are published in the companion journal, the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology. The Journal also seeks to publish outstanding review articles on areas of interest in several forms. The State-of-the-Art review is a treatise usually covering a broad field that brings bench research to the bedside. Shorter reviews are published as Clinical Commentaries or Pulmonary Perspectives. These are generally focused in a more limited area and advance a concerted opinion about care for a specific process. Case Reports of exceptional merit are also published in the Journal.A recent trend and future direction of the journal has been to include debates of a topical nature on issues of importance in pulmonary and critical care medicine and to the membership of the American Thoracic Society. Other recent changes have included encompassing works from the field of critical care medicine and the extension of the editorial governing of journal policy to colleagues outside of the United States of America. The focus and direction of the Journal is to establish an international forum for state-of-the-art respiratory and critical care medicine.

The South African Geographical Journal was founded in 1917 and is the flagship journal of the Society of South African Geographers. It publishes peer reviewed papers of high academic quality in all areas of geography. The South African Geographical Journal aims at using southern Africa as a region from, and through, which to communicate geographic knowledge and to engage with issues and themes relevant to the discipline. The journal welcomes papers dealing with philosophical and methodological issues and topics of an international scope that are significant for the region and the African continent. Contents include research papers, review articles on current debates/issues, and book reviews. The European Management Journal (EMJ) is a generalist, academic review covering all fields of management including, but not limited to business ethics, business strategy, entrepreneurship & innovation, information systems, international business & cross-cultural studies, marketing, organization studies & general management as well as supply chain & operations management. Devoted to theoretical and empirical analysis of innovation and new technology, this peer-reviewed journal acts as a bridge between the contributions of economic theory and empirical economics in this field. This bridge is built in two ways. First, by encouraging empirical research (including case studies, econometric work and historical research), evaluating existing economic theory, and suggesting appropriate directions for future effort in theoretical work. The Journal of Architecture is jointly published by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Routledge, an imprint of Taylor & Francis.
