Psychological Assessment publishes mainly empirical articles concerning clinical assessment. Papers that fall within the domain of the journal include research on the development, validation, application, and evaluation of psychological assessment instruments. Diverse modalities (e.g., cognitive, physiologic, and motoric) and methods of assessment (e.g., questionnaires, interviews, natural environment and analog environment observation, self-monitoring, participant observation, physiological measurement, instrument-assisted and computer-assisted assessment) are within the domain of the journal, especially as they relate to clinical assessment. Also included are topics on clinical judgment and decision making (including diagnostic assessment), methods of measurement of treatment process and outcome, and dimensions of individual differences (e.g., race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, economic status) as they relate to clinical assessment. Case studies will be considered if they make unique contributions to clinical assessment. Highly focused reviews of assessment instruments or methods of assessment with particular behavior disorders, theoretical papers related to assessment, and papers bridging basic and applied dimensions of assessment will be considered. Papers on measurement theory and methods will be considered if they are specifically addressed to clinical assessment.

The American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse is now published six times per year and provides an important and stimulating publication for the exchange of ideas between the diverse researchers examining the neurobiology, pathophysiology, and treatment of addictive disorders. The journal includes a wide range of translational research from preclinical through clinical aspects of substance use and addictive disorders. The Journal covers these topics with focused data presentations and authoritative reviews of timely developments in our field.Manuscripts in neurobiology may include molecular biology, cellular physiology, and human and animal pharmacology of abused drugs. Submissions in pathophysiology may include behavioral pharmacology, neuroimaging, and family-genetic studies of assessments, pharmacotherapies, behavioral therapies, large-scale treatment follow-up studies, and new modalities of care. Defense & Security Analysis is an independent, interdisciplinary and international journal which is mainly concerned with the field of defense theory and analysis. Whilst endeavouring to be scholarly in both content and style, it is designed to be a forum for exchange of data, ideas and methodological approaches among the professional military, their supporting bureaucracies and academic and independent researchers involved in the analysis of defense policy. A wide range of methodological approaches to defense matters will be encompassed - quantitative, qualitative and speculative. Suggestions or proposals of possible articles and reviews are therefore welcomed. Unless the author specifies to the contrary, submitted articles will normally be evaluated, anonymously, by an independent reviewer. Also, in the tradition of scientific and professional journals, Defense & Security Analysis will have a section on Professional Notes containing ideas, hypothesis, lines of argument and enquiry, and comment. These should be between 500 and 1,000 words, will be included solely at the discretion of the Editors, and can be accepted up to 3 months before the date of publication.
