Crystals lie at the root of much of today's advanced technology. Near-perfect crystals of silicon and III-V compounds are needed for microprocessors and optoelectronics, magnetic crystals provide some computer memories, and crystals of all kinds are required for scientific studies and new applications.This journal is the only review journal which provides a repository of articles and references on the growth and characterization of crystals and their applications. As the years go by it is building up into an invaluable source of information on a wide range of topics.Advances in the techniques of growing and assessing ever more perfect crystals of a wide range of materials lie at the roots of much of today's advanced technology. The literature of crystal growth is expanding faster than almost any comparable field of science. This journal is planned to fill the need for communication and act as a rapid publication medium for review articles and conference reports in order to keep abreast of developments in this field.Crystal growth and characterization (or assessment) is of vital interest to many scientists in industry and in universities. The journal covers all aspects of crystal growth and characterization including crystals of semiconductors and electronic materials, oxides, synthetic materials, magnetic and optical crystals, organic and biological crystals and metals. Topics in eutectics, thin film and theory of crystal growth are included and also methods of assessing crystal perfection and purity. The wide-ranging interdisciplinary nature of Progress in Crystal Growth and Characterization of Materials means that it is of interest to physicists, chemists, materials scientists, electronic engineers and metallurgists as well as specialists in crystal growth. With a notable focus on China, Economic and Political Studies aims to disseminate significant theoretical, analytical, and empirical research on political-economic phenomena in China (or relevant to China) that have wider implications for international political economic studies. EPS encourages solid research findings that may pose challenges to and even revise the existing theories and methodologies. It welcomes original research articles that analyse the role of economic and political institutions, and consider China’s interaction with the world.

Contributions are invited from the international community of researchers in political economy, economics, political science, Chinese studies and related disciplines. Themed review articles, especially for research work in the Chinese language will also be published in order to promote the academic dialogue.

Journal of Chinese Governance aims to explore the changing state-society relationship and governance practice in China, and offers up-to-date empirical research, theoretical and policy articles on the state governance capacity and modernization, various local models, practices and politics of governance in China. Topics to be covered include China’s state governance capacity, governance modernization, local governance, corporate governance, non-profit governance, social governance, policy governance, environmental governance, energy governance, climate governance, civic engagement in public affairs and service delivery, China’s engagement in global governance, etc.

The journal will publish special issues, research papers, and book reviews. The journal will make a valuable contribution to the understanding of Chinese governance, and stimulate a growing number of international scholars to study Chinese governance from the disciplines of political science, public administration, public policy, sociology, economics, and many other areas.

All research articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review. In additional original research articles, the journal also publishes book reviews to disseminate comprehensive reviews of emerging topics in all areas of governance.

Fifty Key Anthropologists - Articles Related to the Life and Work of Some Influential Figures Visual Anthropology is a scholarly journal presenting original articles, commentary, discussions, film reviews, and book reviews on anthropological and ethnographic topics. The journal focuses on the study of human behavior through visual means. Experts in the field also examine visual symbolic forms from a cultural-historical framework and provide a cross-cultural study of art and artifacts. Visual Anthropology also promotes the study, use, and production of anthropological and ethnographic films, videos, and photographs for research and teaching.
