Debatte: Journal of Contemporary Central and Eastern Europe seeks to provide a radical critical analysis that is sympathetic to democratic, labour, feminist and ecologist movements from contemporary economic, social, cultural and political perspectives and developments in the region bounded by Germany in the west and Russia in the east. We are particularly interested in all writing on the social, cultural, and political life of Germany and Eastern Europe which connects the specific problems of the region with the wider issues of world order, globalisation, and inequality.We are looking to combine political commitment, academic rigour, contemporary relevance, stylistic accessibility, and journalistic flair in order to create the kind of publication that straddles the boundaries between academia and social/political debate; addressing itself equally to specialist scholars in the field of Central European Studies, political activists, journalists, teachers, and other interested readers. African (formerly South African) Journal of Marine Science provides an international forum for the publication of original, peer-reviewed contributions in all disciplines of marine research, including reports on new techniques and methods. The scope covers all aspects of marine science, from estuaries and coastal waters to the open ocean, from chemical and physical to biological oceanography, and including fisheries, socio-economic science, co-management, ecosystems and other topical advisory subjects. Aggression and Violent Behavior, A Review Journal is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes substantive and integrative reviews, as well as summary reports of innovative ongoing clinical research programs on a wide range of topics germane to the field of aggression and violent behavior. Environmental Communication: A Journal of Nature and Culture publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed scholarship that examines theories, practices, and processes of communication as they relate to the environment around the world. As such, the journal serves as a nexus, a place of global connection and conversation, among scholars working in and across a variety of disciplines who explore how humans communicate about and within both natural and cultural environments. Aims and ScopeJACI: In Practice covers the spectrum of conditions treated by allergist-immunologists in their practices. The emphasis of the journal is on information that is practical for clinicians-material that can be used in everyday practice or will help in acquiring new knowledge or skills that can be directly applied to patients. A major goal of JACI: In Practice is to provide our readers with a high level of evidence to support their clinical decisions in diagnosis and management. Progress in Aerospace Sciences is an international review journal designed to be of broad interest and use to all those concerned with research in aerospace sciences and their applications in research establishments, industry and universities. The journal is devoted primarily to the publication of specially commissioned review articles designed to bring together under one cover current advances in the ever-broadening field of aerospace sciences. No artificial limits are imposed on the length of papers and authors are encouraged to provide specialist readers with an orderly and concise summary of recent work, including sufficient detail for more general aerospace readers to be informed of recent developments in fields other than their own.The coverage of the journal includes timely reviews in aeronautics and astronautics, especially in important aerospace areas such as aero- and gas dynamics, aero-and space structures, flight mechanics of air and space vehicles, materials, vibrations, aeroelasticity, acoustics, aero- and space propulsion, avionics, and occasionally some related areas as well, such as wind engineering and hydrodynamics. This journal is methodological in focus, so it welcomes research syntheses on all topics in Applied Linguistics, but especially those that have a strong relevance to professional practice (e.g., language teaching, learning, and assessment).

Research syntheses, or evidence syntheses, are a type of secondary research that employs systematic, transparent, reproducible, and often pre-registered methodologies to synthesise published research ( Chong & Plonsky, 2023; Chong & Plonsky, 2024). The focus of research syntheses can be substantive (e.g., language testing, translanguaging) and/or methodological (e.g., narrative inquiry). In the field of Applied Linguistics, meta-analyses are traditionally the predominant form of research synthesis, accounting for most of the published synthetic work. Nevertheless, this journal welcomes submissions of not only meta-analyses but other emergent types of research syntheses, especially those that employ qualitative methodologies (e.g., qualitative research synthesis, scoping review, systematic literature review) as well as methodological papers on the specific stages of conducting a research synthesis.
