Ethical Theory and Moral Practice: An International Forum is a peer-reviewed journal which aims to publish the best work produced in all fields of ethics. It welcomes high quality submissions regardless of the tradition or school of thought from which they derive. As an editorial priority, however, presentations should be accessible to the philosophical community at large. Ethical Theory and Moral Practice seeks interdisciplinary cooperation between ethics, theology and empirical disciplines such as medicine, economics, sociology, psychology and law. It recognises that distinctions between theory and practice are, to a large extent, artificial. The journal therefore aims to publish theoretically relevant 'practical' ethics and practically relevant 'theoretical' ethics.

The European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research monitors crime trends in today’s enlarged Europe and beyond. The focus of its peer-reviewed coverage is on understanding crime in different geographical and socio-economic contexts, on presenting innovative crime prevention policies and practices, and on following legislative and institutional change. Discussion includes the trade-off between security and rights and ways to optimize the effectiveness of criminal justice systems with respect to human and civil rights. Recognizing that criminal justice systems are not the only method for dealing with crime, the journal also devotes attention to alternative policies and practices. Its four annual issues include two thematic issues and two that are open to various contributions.

Awareness of gender as a central feature of all aspects of everyday life and society has become more and more widespread. Appropriately social sciences research is reflecting this increasing concern with gender, especially in the field of work and organization where this journal is focused. Gender, Work & Organization is the first journal to bring together a wide range of interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary research in this field into a new international forum for debate and analysis. Contributions are invited from all disciplinary perspectives including anthropology, history, labour economics, law, philosophy, politics, psychology, and sociology.

Providing a much-needed forum for interdisciplinary discussion, GLQ publishes scholarship, criticism, and commentary in areas as diverse as law, science studies, religion, political science, and literary studies. Its aim is to offer queer perspectives on all issues touching on sex and sexuality. A notable feature is "The GLQ Archive," a special section featuring previously unpublished or unavailable primary materials that may serve as sources for future work in lesbian and gay studies.

The journal Intellectual History of the Islamicate World provides a forum for research that systematically crosses the boundaries between three major disciplines of academia and research, viz. Islamic Studies, Jewish Studies and the study of Eastern Christianity. It encourages discussion among representatives of these and related disciplines, with a view to promoting a new understanding of intellectual history in all its facets throughout the Islamicate World, from its emergence until modern times and from different methodological perspectives. The Intellectual History of the Islamicate World covers such themes as philosophy, theology, exegesis, law and legal methodology, sciences and medicine. 
The Intellectual History of the Islamicate World is double blind peer-reviewed. From 2017 onwards it will publish three issues per year. In addition to predefined theme volumes, the journal accepts submissions relevant to its overall concerns but not bound to a specific theme.

Interchange, an externally refereed educational quarterly, embraces educational theory, research, analysis, history, philosophy, policy and practices. The journal seeks to foster exchanges among practitioners, policy-makers, and scholars and to provide a forum for comment on issues and trends in education. The journal specializes in frank argumentative articles on the fundamental purposes of education. The Journal of African American Studies publishes original research on topics of professional and disciplinary concern for the social progress of people of African descent. This includes subjects concerning social transformations that impact the life chances of continental Africans and the African diaspora. Papers may be empirical, methodological, or theoretical: including literary criticism. In addition to original research, the journal publishes book reviews, commentaries, research notes, and occasional special thematic issues. African American Studies is an interdisciplinary field: diverse disciplinary methods and perspectives that include anthropology, art, economics, law, literature, management science, political science, psychology, sociology, social policy research, and others are appreciated.

The Journal of Empirical Research on Human Research Ethics is a new journal that publishes empirical research and reviews of empirical literature on human research ethics. Empirical knowledge translates ethical principles into procedures appropriate to specific cultures, contexts, and research topics. By presenting such work, JERHRE aims to improve ethical problem solving in human research and provide an ongoing basis for the establishment of best practice guidelines. In addition, JERHRE seeks to create collaboration among institutions and researchers concerned about the responsible conduct of research by disseminating knowledge and information to foster the intelligent application of ethical principles in research contexts worldwide. The goals the journal promotes are respect and protection of human subjects and methodology to produce valid and ethical research.

The Journal of Freshwater Ecology is intended to be a vehicle for the reasonably rapid dissemination of current limnological information. The Journal publishes refereed manuscripts dealing with a wide variety of original ecological studies, observations, and techniques. Extensive mongraphs will not normally be published. The Journal of Marine and Island Cultures, an international journal, is the official journal of the Institution for Marine and Island Cultures, Republic of Korea. The Journal of Marine and Island Cultures publishes peer-reviewed, original research papers, reviews, reports, and comments covering all aspects of the humanities and cultural issues pertaining to the marine and island environment. In addition the journal publishes articles that present integrative research conducted across interdisciplinary boundaries, including studies examining the sustainability of the living environment, nature-ecological resources and the socio-economic systems of islands and islanders. The Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation is an international forum for the publication of peer-reviewed original papers on the rehabilitation of the disabled worker. The Journal of Public Health invites submission of papers on any aspect of public health research and practice.We welcome papers on the theory and practice of the whole spectrum of public health across the domains of health improvement, health protection and service improvement, with a particular focus on the translation of science into action.Papers on the role of public health ethics and law are welcome. We aim to promote the highest standards of public health practice internationally through the timely communication of current, best scientific evidence.Our main criteria for grading manuscripts are scientific originality and impact, as well as relevance to public health practice.

The Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology, together with the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish national crime prevention councils, is publishing this forum of Nordic scientific work on criminology and crime prevention.
