The Scandinavian Journal of Pain, the scientific journal of the researcher-network Scandinavian Association for the Study of Pain (www.SASP.org), is a comprehensive forum for original research from international researchers, on all aspects of pain including the nature of pain, pain mechanisms, and pain management. In order to bring pain-researchers and pain-clinicians up-to-date on important issues, the journal also encourages submissions of topical reviews.Scandinavian Journal of Pain provides a broad and stimulating approach to new pain-related research by also commissioning editorial comments published together with all accepted papers. The editorial comment highlights the significance of the research in the paper and often provides a concise review of the topic of the paper. South African Journal of Chemical Engineering, SAJCE, aims to be the principal open access journal for publication of high quality, original papers in all areas of chemical engineering. Textile History is an internationally recognised, peer reviewed journal and one of the leading publications in its field. It is viewed as an important outlet for current research. Policy making and implementation, planning and management are widely recognized as central to effective health systems and services and to better health. Globalization, and the economic circumstances facing groups of countries world-wide, meanwhile present a great challenge for health planning and management. The aim of this quarterly journal is to offer a forum for publications which direct attention to major issues in health policy, planning and management. The intention is to maintain a balance between theory and practice, from a variety of disciplines, fields and perspectives. The Journal is explicitly international and multidisciplinary in scope and appeal: articles about policy, planning and management in countries at various stages of political, social, cultural and economic development are welcomed, as are those directed at the different levels (national, regional, local) of the health sector. The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics exists primarily for dissemination of significant new knowledge in experimental equilibrium thermodynamics and transport properties of chemical systems. Environmental Sociology is dedicated to applying and advancing the sociological imagination in relation to a wide variety of environmental challenges, controversies and issues, at every level from the global to local, from ‘world culture’ to diverse local perspectives. As an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal, Environmental Sociology aims to stretch the conceptual and theoretical boundaries of both environmental and mainstream sociology, to highlight the relevance of sociological research for environmental policy and management, to disseminate the results of sociological research, and to engage in productive dialogue and debate with other disciplines in the social, natural and ecological sciences.

An established journal of reference inviting all critical approaches on the latest debates and issues in the field, Contemporary French & Francophone Studies (formerly known as SITES) provides a forum not only for academics, but for novelists, poets, artists, journalists, and filmmakers as well. In addition to its focus on French and Francophone studies, one of the journal' primary objectives is to reflect the interdisciplinary direction taken by the field and by the humanities and the arts in general.Contemporary French & Francophone Studies is published five times per year, with four issues devoted to particular themes, and a fifth issue, "The Open Issue" welcoming non-thematic contributions. Each of the five issue features contributors from across the disciplines, with 5 to 10 % of a given issue in French, and the remaining contents either in English or in bilingual form.The objective of Contemporary French and Francophone Studies is to reflect the enormous vitality and variety displayed by those engaged in the field of French Studies. Editorial policy is designed to foster controversy in a field which is already in significant ideological ferment. Defense & Security Analysis is an independent, interdisciplinary and international journal which is mainly concerned with the field of defense theory and analysis. Whilst endeavouring to be scholarly in both content and style, it is designed to be a forum for exchange of data, ideas and methodological approaches among the professional military, their supporting bureaucracies and academic and independent researchers involved in the analysis of defense policy. Also, in the tradition of scientific and professional journals, Defense & Security Analysis will have a section on Professional Notes containing ideas, hypothesis, lines of argument and enquiry, and comment.
