The Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies, a peer-reviewed journal published by the Indonesia Project at The Australian National University's College of Asia and the Pacific, fills a significant void by providing a well respected outlet for high-quality research on any and all matters pertaining to the Indonesian economy, and touching on closely related fields such as law, the environment, government and politics, demography, education and health. In doing so, it has played an important role in helping the world, and Indonesians themselves, to understand Indonesia. In addition to the usual papers reporting economic analysis and research, each issue leads with a comprehensive 'Survey of recent developments', which aims to be reasonably accessible even to non-economists, and helps to account for the journal's diverse readership within academia, government, business and the broader public. All issues also contain a number of reviews of books on Indonesian economics and related issues. Published with financial support from the Australian Agency for International Development and the Arndt-Corden Division of Economics, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. The Bulletin is published in Indonesia by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, Jakarta . The journal is published three times a year, in April, August and December. These three issues constitute one volume. A volume index of articles and book reviews by author is published in the last issue of each volume. Angelaki: journal of the theoretical humanities was established in September 1993 to provide an international forum for vanguard work in the theoretical humanities. The Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies publishes articles on Latin American culture and on theoretical and historical approaches to cultural production in Latin America, including Caribbean, Latino/a and other diasporic, trans-regional formations. Multidisciplinary work defining and proposing new areas of research and debate is especially welcome. We encourage contributions on the full range of cultural objects, practices, and expressions (including literature, film, visual arts, music), as well as the informal structures of meaning and communication at societal and sub-cultural levels. We welcome work that engages disciplines such as film and media studies, literary criticism, anthropology, gender and queer studies, communication, history and memory studies, and other areas of analysis. We are interested in work which investigates multiple modernities and the effects on societies and social practice of modernization and globalization, as well as articles that reflect on the plural meanings of culture and cultural field, and the place of cultural theory. Engagements with instances of hybridity and transculturation, including the limitations of their conceptual reach, are also welcome; as are articles proposing original directions for their analysis through alternative ethnographies and epistemologies. Work that explores new methods and new areas of investigation, including the critical renewal of cultural studies itself as a transversal disciplinary and political project, is particularly encouraged. We invite articles on all relevant periods, from colonial times to the present. There is a review section which carries authoritative review articles on the state of the art in given fields. Other formats such as position papers, interviews, visual artistic production, chronicles and debates may also be considered for publication. Teacher Development is a fully refereed international journal publishing articles on all aspects of teachers' professional development. It acts as a forum for critical and reflective attention to practice in teacher development and aims thereby to contribute to the quality of professional development. The journal takes a 8216;whole-career' view of teacher development, and work from both international and inter-professional perspectives is welcome. Articles may deal with teacher development in varying political and professional contexts, and may be in a variety of styles, in keeping with the diversity of activity in professional development. The journal carries accounts of personal experience, evaluations of teacher development policies and practices, research reports and theoretical discussions. Articles in the form of major postion papers and academic analyses are not expected to be less than 5000 words but should not exceed 8000 words. This is an innovative journal in an expanding and diversifying field and contributions are welcome from professional teachers, and those who support them, in every sector of education and training. All submitted articles are scrutinised by at least two independent referees. The Book Reviews Section draws attention to important new publications in the field. Review articles (up to 4000 words) discuss major work from a critical perspective. Shorter book reviews (up to 1000 words) bring new work to attention and highlight implications for policy and practice. The Journal of Environmental Policy & Planning is an international journal that provides a forum for the critical analysis of environmental policy and planning. It explores the environmental dimensions of common policies such as transport, agriculture and fisheries, urban and rural policy, all stages in the policy and planning processes from formulation to implementation, and the interactions between governments and markets, the strategies of non-governmental organizations and business in relation to the environment, and land-use decision-making.
