Fostering communications between scientists and musicians interested in the study of music phenomena, Music Perception publishes original theoretical and empirical papers, methodological articles, and critical reviews concerning the study of music.

19th-Century Music publishes articles on all aspects of music having to do with the #!#!long#!#! nineteenth century. The period of coverage has no definite boundaries; it can extend well backward into the eighteenth century and well forward into the twentieth. Published tri-annually, the journal is open to studies of any musical or cultural development that affected nineteenth-century music and any such developments that nineteenth-century music subsequently affected. The topics are as diverse as the long century itself. They include music of any type or origin and include, but are not limited to, issues of composition, performance, social and cultural context, hermeneutics, aesthetics, music theory, analysis, documentation, gender, sexuality, history, and historiography.

American Music publishes articles on American composers, performers, publishers, institutions, events, and the music industry, as well as book and recording reviews, bibliographies, and discographies. Article topics have included the lyricism of Charles Ives, Henry Cowell's "sliding tones," Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti, Henry Brant's "Spatial Music," the reception and transformation of pop icons such as Presley and Sinatra, and the history and analysis of blues, jazz, folk music, and mixed and emerging musical styles.

The IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine publishes basic and applied papers of information technology applications in health, healthcare and biomedicine covering any of the following topics: Personalized and pervasive health technologies (u-, p-, m- and eHealth), electronic health record, interoperability and connectivity, regional and community health information networks, hospital information systems, PACS, disease management systems, CPOE, telemedicine, knowledge management, decision support systems, virtual reality applications, visualisation and biomedical imaging technologies, usability, privacy, security, semantic web, Grids in biomedicine, systems biology, ethical and legal and educational issues.

JBCS is a formal quarterly publication of the Brazilian Computer Society. It is a peer-reviewed international journal which aims to serve as a forum to disseminate innovative research in all fields of computer science and related subjects. IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing publishes papers on emerging aspects of computer science, computing technology, and computing applications not currently covered by other IEEE Computer Society Transactions. TETC is a special issues-based journal. Our authors have the option to submit papers to a current special issue or to the continuous call for papers, called "technical tracks." The most recent and current list of emerging topics in computing currently covered by the continuous call for papers is reported on the Technical Tracks Call for Papers page. All submissions not in the scope of the special issue or the technical tracks will not be considered by the journal. Musicae Scientiae (the Journal of the European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music) publishes empirical, theoretical and critical articles directed at increasing understanding of how music is perceived, represented and generated. Any systematic work within the domains of psychology, philosophy, aesthetics, music analysis, musicology, cognitive science, education, artificial intelligence, modelling and neuropsychology that advances that aim will be considered for publication.

The IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing covers audio, speech and language processing and the sciences that support them. In audio processing: transducers, room acoustics, active sound control, human audition, analysis/synthesis/coding of music, and consumer audio. In speech processing: areas such as speech analysis, synthesis, coding, speech and speaker recognition, speech production and perception, and speech enhancement. In language processing: speech and text analysis, understanding, generation, dialog management, translation, summarization, question answering and document indexing and retrieval, as well as general language modeling.

The periodical reports on current trends in librarianship worldwide and describes the transformation of libraries and information services resulting from the introduction of new information technologies and working methods. Background information and the latest research findings in librarianship and information science are made accessible to experts and a broader public.

The IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics journal covers all issues of widespread or generic interest to engineers who work in the field of power electronics. The Journal editors will enforce standards and a review policy equivalent to the IEEE Transactions, and only papers of high technical quality will be accepted. Papers which treat new and novel device, circuit or system issues which are of generic interest to power electronics engineers are published. Papers which are not within the scope of this Journal will be forwarded to the appropriate IEEE Journal or Transactions editors. Examples of papers which would be more appropriately published in other Journals or Transactions include: 1) Papers describing semiconductor or electron device physics. These papers would be more appropriate for the IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices. 2) Papers describing applications in specific areas: e.g., industry, instrumentation, utility power systems, aerospace, industrial electronics, etc. These papers would be more appropriate for the Transactions of the Society which is concerned with these applications. 3) Papers describing magnetic materials and magnetic device physics. These papers would be more appropriate for the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics. 4) Papers on machine theory. These papers would be more appropriate for the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.  While original papers of significant technical content will comprise the major portion of the Journal, tutorial papers and papers of historical value are also reviewed for publication. 

The IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks publishes high-quality papers that extend the classical notions of processing of signals defined over vector spaces (e.g. time and space) to processing of signals and information (data) defined over networks, potentially dynamically varying. In signal processing over networks, the topology of the network may define structural relationships in the data, or may constrain processing of the data. Topics include distributed algorithms for filtering, detection, estimation, adaptation and learning, model selection, data fusion, and diffusion or evolution of information over such networks, and applications of distributed signal processing.
