Colloid and Polymer Science - a leading international journal of longstanding tradition - is devoted to colloid and polymer science and its interdisciplinary interactions. As such, it responds to a demand which has lost none of its actuality as revealed in the trends of contemporary materials science. To enable an effective and fast dissemination of scientific manuscripts, four categories of contributions are presented:- Invited review articles

- Short communications
The latter will be published with high priority, at least within two weeks after acceptance of the manuscript. (The usual time between acceptance and publishing OnlineFirst is typically three weeks.) With this immediacy, Colloid and Polymer Science serves as a reliable partner for an effective distribution of scientific results.

Corrections: Policy, Practice, and Research is a peer-reviewed journal with a broad correctional focus encompassing a wide range of relevant topics and innovative approaches from new theoretical perspectives and research findings to their implications for improving policy and practice. Both national and international in scope, the journal addresses these issues and challenges as they relate to sentencing, prisons, jails, and community corrections. A wide range of topics are considered and include, but are not limited to: prisons, jails, probation and parole, inmate/client and staff experiences, reentry transition, sentencing policies and practices, the death penalty, comparative corrections, correctional treatment, decarceration, educational and vocational programming, and privatization. Preference is given to articles with defined methodologies and rigorous analyses. All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by two anonymous referees.

Crime Science is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen.Crime Science is an international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal, with an applied focus. The journal's main focus is research articles and systematic reviews that reflect the growing cooperation of a variety of fields, including environmental criminology, economics, engineering, geography, public health, psychology, statistics, and urban planning, on improving the detection, prevention, and understanding of crime and disorder. Crime Science will publish theoretical articles that are relevant to the field, for example, approaches that integrate theories from different disciplines. The goal of the journal is to broaden the scientific base for the understanding, analysis, and control of crime and disorder. It is aimed at researchers, practitioners and policy-makers with an interest in crime reduction. Dao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy directly relates Chinese philosophy to other philosophical traditions, covering all subfields of philosophy. Most uniquely, Dao does not only focus on the comparison of Chinese and Western philosophy: it also publishes articles on the relation between Chinese philosophy and other Asian philosophies – such as Indian, Japanese, and Korean philosophy - and between Chinese philosophy and African and Islamic philosophy. Disease Models & Mechanisms (DMM) is an Open Access biomedical research journal focusing on the use of model systems to better understand, diagnose and treat human disease. The journal is published by the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria – Plovdiv and the University of Plovdiv Publishing House. It is distributed as a hard copy and online (open access) version. Articles are archived and searched through several major OA repositories: DOAJ, Index Coupernicus, Google Scholar and many others. All accepted articles are published online first and after the completion of the issue they are available online and as hardcopy as well.

Econometrics (ISSN 2225-1146) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal on econometric modelling and forecasting, as well as new advances in econometrics theory. It publishes reviews, regular research papers, and communications; there is no restriction on the length of papers. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research in as much detail as possible. For experimental papers, full experimental details must be provided in the paper so that the results can be reproduced. Additionally, data sets must be deposited and published along with the paper as supplementary materials in any meaningful format (preferred are CSV files or tabulated data, alternatively data files that can be used by common econometrics or statistics software, such as STATA, EVIEWS, MATLAB and R). Where a data set is subject to copyright, agreement must be sought with the Editor-in-Chief as to the best means of ensuring the replicability of the results. Additionally, electronic files or programs to enable replication of the reported results (and enable confirmation of the associated calculations and experimental procedure, etc. should also be deposited along with the publication as supplementary material).

The study and management of ecosystems represents the most dynamic field of contemporary ecology. Ecosystem research bridges fundamental ecology, environmental ecology and environmental problem-solving. The scope of ecosystem science extends from bounded systems such as watersheds to spatially complex landscapes, to the Earth itself, and crosses temporal scales from seconds to millennia.
