Health and Social Care in the Community is an international peer-reviewed journal with a multidisciplinary audience including social workers, health care professionals with a community or public health focus e.g. public health practitioners, GP's, Community Nurses and Social Care researchers and educators. The Journal promotes critical thinking and informed debate about all aspects of health and social care. Original papers are sought that reflect the broad range of policy, practice and theoretical issues underpinning the provision of care in the community. Health and Social Care in the Community publishes systematic and narrative reviews, policy analysis and empirical qualitative or quantitative papers including papers that focus on professional or patient education.

Heat Transfer Research (ISSN1064-2285) presents archived theoretical, applied, and experimental papers selected globally. Selected papers from technical conference proceedings and academic laboratory reports are also published. Historical Materialism is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to exploring and developing the critical and explanatory potential of Marxist theory. The journal started as a project at the London School of Economics from 1995 to 1998. Internal and Emergency Medicine (IEM) is an independent, international, English-language, peer-reviewed journal designed for internists and emergency physicians. IEM publishes a variety of manuscript types including Original investigations, Review articles, Letters to the Editor, Editorials and Commentaries. Occasionally IEM accepts unsolicited Reviews, Commentaries or Editorials. This journal advances the knowledge and practice of community well-being as an interdisciplinary broad conception of human and societal well-being. The focus is predominately on communities of place and interest within geographic or societal spaces concerning social, economic, cultural/social, environmental or political conditions and impacts on societal and social well-being. It provides an outlet for excellent scholarship from a multitude of disciplines - including but not limited to community development, geography, urban and regional planning, economic development, public administration, regional studies, sociology, community learning and education, psychology and health – concerned with community well-being that promotes understanding of its multidimensional aspects. The journal publishes research that combines community well-being addressing issues facing our towns, cities and regions. It explores the collective aspects of communities and regions and how individual well-being is related to the context of societal well-being.

The Journal publishes original refereed papers, review papers and correspondence in the fields of skin and cosmetic research. It is read by practising cosmetic scientists and dermatologists, as well as specialists in more diverse disciplines that are developing new products which contact the skin. The editor takes the bulk of the financial risks of publishing. The profits go mainly to the broadcaster and distributor of books, which are responsible, to canvass the booksellers and take their orders as well as routing the books to bookstores, to fill orders taken. These operations cost the publisher between 50 and 60% of turnover generated by the book. The rest of sales goes to the author (about 10% share of this figure much lower, around 6% for comic books, and can reach 20% or more for best sellers) and the publisher, who can pay, in addition to its employees (editorial assistants, press officers, charged with manufacture, designer, etc..), the entire work of the book (printers, proofreaders, freelance photographers, possibly librarians, etc.. ). Since its launch in 1970, the Irish University Review has sought to foster and publish the best scholarly research and critical debate in Irish literary and cultural studies. The first issue contained contributions by Austin Clarke, John Montague, Sean O'Faolain, and Conor Cruise O'Brien, among others. Today, the journal publishes the best literary and cultural criticism by established and emerging scholars in Irish Studies. It is published twice annually, in the Spring and Autumn of each year. The journal is based in University College Dublin, where it was founded in 1970 by Professor Maurice Harmon, who edited the journal from 1970 to 1987. It has subsequently been edited by Professor Christopher Murray (1987-1997), Professor Anthony Roche (1997-2002), and Professor Anne Fogarty (2002-2009). It is supported by an international editorial board and editorial advisory board, and draws its authors, subscribers and readers from all around the world.

Island Arc provides an opportunity for the prompt, international and high-standard publication of research from all fields of solid earth geosciences. JAMA Surgery (formerly Archives of Surgery), which began publication in 1920, is an international peer-reviewed journal. JAMA Surgery is the official publication of the Association of VA Surgeons, the Pacific Coast Surgical Association, and the Surgical Outcomes Club and is a member of The JAMA Network family of journals, which includes JAMA and 11 specialty journals.

JAMA Surgery is published online weekly, every Wednesday, and in print/online issues 12 times a year.
