The Journal of Open Research Software (JORS) features peer reviewed Software Metapapers describing research software with high reuse potential. We are working with a number of specialist and institutional repositories to ensure that the associated software is professionally archived, preserved, and is openly available. Equally importantly, the software and the papers will be citable, and reuse will be tracked.

JORS also publishes full-length research papers that cover different aspects of creating, maintaining and evaluating open source research software. Cambridge Forum on AI: Culture and Society publishes research both about and produced with artificial intelligence (AI): research about the social and cultural implications of AI as well as studies employing AI to develop new methodologies for critical research. Its goal is to understand the social and cultural situatedness of AI, how AI is socially and culturally enacted, how AI influences wider social and cultural formations, and how this might change with different culturally sensitive manifestations of AI. The journal takes up a core challenge of our times: how to make sense of and intervene in our entanglement with the emerging regimes of smart machines in order to both harness their positive potentials and mitigate their harmful effects. Cambridge Forum on AI: Culture and Society will publish humanities and social science research on epistemologies, histories and practices of AI, casting light on how AI applications translate, undermine or advance the diversity of social and cultural values and lifeworlds. Responding to wider public and political debates, and encouraging critical inquiry with AI as well as about AI, the journal will foster new methodologies, critical capacities and computational practices. Importantly, while the journal employs the terms ‘artificial intelligence’ and ‘AI’ , it joins those concerned to probe critically how it is that these terms have come to be established and reproduced uncontroversially. Scandinavian Actuarial Journal is a journal for actuarial sciences that deals, in theory and application, with mathematical methods for insurance and related matters. The bounds of actuarial mathematics are determined by the area of application rather than by uniformity of methods and techniques. Therefore, a paper of interest to Scandinavian Actuarial Journal may have its theoretical basis in probability theory, statistics, operations research, numerical analysis, computer science, demography, mathematical economics, or any other area of applied mathematics; the main criterion is that the paper should be of specific relevance to actuarial applications. It is the hope of the editors that the journal can promote progress in the development of actuarial methodology and the proliferation of established methods in practical actuarial work. A special workshop section is intended to stimulate cooperative efforts between practitioners and theoreticians to solve real-life actuarial problems. The workshop will be open for papers at any level of theoretical preparation, from mere descriptions of practical problems with pleas for help, via discussions and tentative solutions, to complete theoretical treatment of these problems. The journal also publishes survey articles and has a section for empirical studies. All articles are refereed. Scandinavian Actuarial Journal has been published since 1918. Middle Eastern Literatures is endorsed by the Union Europ233;nne des Arabisants et Islamisants (UEAI) and Classical Arabic Poetry Symposium (CAPS), and provides a forum for the academic study of all Middle Eastern literatures. Works on literature composed in, for example, Persian, Turkish, post-Biblical and modern Hebrew, Kurdish, or Urdu are welcomed. Regional literatures of the area, such as the Arabic, French, and Tamazight ("Berber") literature from North Africa, also fall within the scope of the journal. The editors welcome high quality scholarly contributions (in English, French, or German) devoted to aspects of either one or several of the literatures of the Middle East, whether classical or modern.Our project is eclectic. Middle Eastern Literatures encourages studies of a cross- and multi-linguistic nature that focus on East-West (and/or East-East) relations. Articles that examine the relationship of literature with other arts and media (visual arts, music, theatre, and film) will also be welcomed. The editors encourage the submission of translations of literary texts, accompanied by an introduction and full bibliographical details. From time to time, the journal will publish special issues focusing on a particular aspect of the literatures of the Middle East.In a wider sense, our project aims at broadening available networks of communication. The journal hopes to promote a dialogue between scholars of Middle Eastern literatures and their colleagues working in other academic disciplines and world regions, and particularly those who are engaged in the study of other literatures (Western and non-Western alike).
