The purpose of CHM is to provide a forum for the studies on Chinese herbal medicines, traditional medicines, and natural products. The journal will accept the following contributions: research articles, review papers, short communications, letters to the editor, book reviews, conference announcements, and information, etc. The journal includes the studies on active ingredients and complex formulations of herb medicines in medicinal resource, phytochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic function by experimental and clinical trials. It is the interest of this journal to introduce the latest development in pharmaceutical sciences to readers.

The editorial committee is composed of 70 experts, among whom 12 are academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Social Sciences, and 38 are from the oversea areas. The honorary editor-in-chief is Pei-gen Xiao, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. The editor-in-chief is Chang-xiao Liu, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the associate editors-in-chief are Prof. Shi-lin Chen, Prof. Thomas Efferth, Prof. De-an Guo, Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, Prof. Li-da Tang, and Prof. Guido F. Pauli.

Since foundation of CHM in 2009, it has been included in China Academic Journals Integrated Online Database, and Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) in USA, Index Copernicus (IC) in Poland, and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (UPD) in USA domestically and abroad. In 2011, it can also be cited in Global Health and CAB Abstract. In 2013, CHM can also be indexed in EMBASE in Holland. The CAS report revealed that of all the 49 articles published in CHM in 2012, 31 papers were included in CAS.

The societal, cultural, economic and political dimensions of communication, including the freedoms of speech and press, are undergoing dramatic global changes. The convergence of the mass media, telecommunications, and computers has raised important questions reflected in analyses of modern communication law, policy, and regulation. Serving as a forum for discussions of these continuing and emerging questions, Communication Law and Policy considers traditional and contemporary problems of freedom of expression and dissemination, including theoretical, conceptual and methodological issues inherent in the special conditions presented by new media and information technologies.The journal seeks research that is informed theoretically by First Amendment constitutional analyses, historical approaches to communication law and policy issues, contemporary social theory literatures that treat the law as cultural forms, the sociology and philosophy of law, systems approaches, critical theory and other appropriate theoretical bases. Educational Studies aims to provide a forum for original investigations and theoretical studies in education. The journal publishes fully refereed papers which cover applied and theoretical approaches to the study of education and its closely related disciplines. Papers should constitute original research, and should be methodologically sound, theoretically informed and of relevance to an international audience. The journal is particularly interested in research that aims to inform educational practice(s) within and/or across sectors. Whilst the journal is principally concerned with the social sciences, contributions from a wider field are encouraged. Brief Reports Educational Studies has introduced a section of Brief Reports. The European Transport Research Review – An Open Access Journal (ETRR) is an online scientific platform aiming at disseminating research results in the field of transport. The main scope and mission of the Journal is to provide a forum for the publication of high quality scientific papers in the field of transport in general, and a dissemination medium for new ideas and developments that originate in, or are of interest to, the European transport research community. Plant Biosystems is the research journal edited by the Societa Botanica Italiana. Published three times a year, the journal is open to papers dealing with all aspects of plant biology, systematics, and ecology. Research studies containing novel and significant findings, from the molecular level to ecosystems and from micro-organisms to flowering plants, are welcome. Plant Biosystems succeeded 'Giornale Botanico Italiano', the historical journal of the Societa Botanica Italiana, from the year 1997. Plant Biosystems has been conceived in consideration of the recent progress in botanical research. An editorial board has been devised to ensure that all the main trends of contemporary plant science are represented. Manuscripts are classified as 'Full Paper', 'Rapid Report' or 'Short Communication'. A Rapid Report is intended for publication, in a concise form, of new and relevant findings. The classification as Rapid Report is determined by the Editor. A Short Communication (no more than two printed pages) is for a concise but independent report. Professional Development in Education is a fully refereed international journal that publishes original contributions on the subject of continuing professional development in its widest sense: initial preparation as it affects induction; mentoring and coaching; professional learning; management and leadership of continuing professional development; the analysis of local, regional and national policies relating to CPD; and the work of Higher Education, advisory services and training and development organisations in supporting and promoting CPD. Contributions comprise scholarly discussion of new issues, reports of research in particular areas, reports of developments and contributions to debate on continuing professional development. Although the main focus of articles in the Journal is likely to be teacher education, we welcome contributions which discuss the policy and practice of CPD in other professions where the focus of the article is professional learning. The Journal began its life as British Journal of In-service Education (ISSN 0305-7631) before changing to Journal of In-service Education (ISSN 1367-4587) in 1998. From 2009, the Journal has been renamed Professional Development in Education (ISSN 1941-5257).
