American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine

ISSN: 1073-449XeISSN: 1535-4970

The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine focuses on human biology and disease, as well as animal studies that contribute to the understanding of pathophysiology and treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory system and critically ill patients. Papers that are solely or predominantly based in cell and molecular biology are published in the companion journal, the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology. The Journal also seeks to publish outstanding review articles on areas of interest in several forms. The State-of-the-Art review is a treatise usually covering a broad field that brings bench research to the bedside. Shorter reviews are published as Clinical Commentaries or Pulmonary Perspectives. Journal of Transportation Security

ISSN: 1938-7741eISSN: 1938-775X

The events of 9/11 and beyond have compelled stakeholders to look at transport security as much more than merely another element of the global networks that move people and goods. An activity that was previously viewed as a routine component of modern transportation is now seen as both a vital necesity and a national priority. Across a wide spectrum, transportation security is playing a leading role in determining how both the present and future will look. Remarkably, no single clearinghouse of research and analysis on this important topic has arisen. Transportation security lies at the core of many important areas of study, including supply chain and logistics: information technology: public policy: international business: political science: engineering: transportation: economics: and counterterrorism, among others. This journal will be the first to take a global, apolitical, and in-depth multidisciplinary look at the field. The mission of the journal will be to disseminate new research, thought, and analysis for teachers, researchers, policy makers and practitioners around the world who view transportation security as a critical element in the post 9/11 world.Officially cited as: J Transp Secur

Molecular Reproduction & Development

ISSN: 1040-452XeISSN: 1098-2795

Molecular Reproduction and Development takes an integrated, systems-biology approach to understand the dynamic continuum of cellular, reproductive, and developmental processes. This journal fosters dialogue among diverse disciplines through primary research communications and educational forums, with the philosophy that fundamental findings within the life sciences result from a convergence of disciplines. Increasingly, readers of the Journal need to be informed of diverse, yet integrated, topics impinging on their areas of interest. This requires an expansion in thinking towards non-traditional, interdisciplinary experimental design and data analysis. For example, biologists need to know how nanodevices might be used, while bioengineers need to know how post-translational protein modifications affect developmental mechanisms. The Journal will provide a means for readers to integrate divergent scientific disciplines into their current and future research. Readers will turn to Molecular Reproduction and Development not only to learn the latest in research progress, but to become educated in frontier topics of the field of reproductive and developmental biology; students in particular will turn to the Journal to learn about current progress in the diversifying approaches that will become the foundation for the next generation of research.
