Published by the Indian Academy of Sciences, the Journal of Biosciences covers all areas of Biology and is India’s premier journal within its scope. It is indexed in Current Contents and other standard Biological and Medical databases. The Journal of Biosciences began in 1934 as the Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences (Section B). In 1978 it split into Proceedings-Animal Sciences, Proceedings-Plant Sciences and Proceedings-Experimental Biology. Proceedings-Experimental Biology was renamed Journal of Biosciences in 1979; in 1991, it merged with Proceedings-Animal Sciences and Proceedings-Plant Sciences. Articles span a broad range of relevant topics, including, for example, protein classification by surface comparisons; the contribution of bioinformatics to genome and genomics research, and mathematical modelling of spatio-temporal interactions within the cell.

The Environmental Claims Journal is a quarterly journal that focuses on the many types of claims and liabilities that result from environmental exposures. The ECJ considers environmental claims under older business insurance policies, coverage and claims under more recent environmental insurance policies, as well as toxic tort claims. Exposures and claims from all environmental media are considered: air, drinking water, groundwater, soil, chemicals in commerce and naturally occurring chemicals. The Journal of Ethnic Foods is dedicated to provide reliable information about people’s consumption of food, as well as the superiority or creativity developed from the long-term accumulated traditional understanding and knowledge in foods. The superiority and creativity of food cannot be fully understood and appreciated from food ingredients and nutrition. It has to be viewed also from other aspects, such as culture, ecology, history and environment. It is recommended to the authors to cover these areas in the manuscript. It could be demonstrated by various approaches such as biological, nutritional, epidemiological, ecological, or cultural anthropological research. The journal covers foods from different geographic areas across continents, including ethnic foods. The journal ultimately focuses on topics which contributes to health and long life, or topics with academic value. On behalf of the Association of Field Ornithologists, Journal of Field Ornithology publishes original articles that emphasize the descriptive or experimental study of birds in their natural habitats. The Journal of Moral Philosophy is a peer-reviewed journal of moral, political and legal philosophy with an international focus. It publishes articles in all areas of normative philosophy, including pure and applied ethics, as well as moral, legal, and political theory. Articles exploring non-Western traditions are also welcome.
